Instructions:Read the paragraph below carefully. There are 20 mistakes in


grammar, punctuation, or spelling. Underline each mistake and write the
correct version above the word or on the side.

Last weekend, my friend sara and me went to the city center to do some
shopping we was both very excited because there was a sale at our favorite
store when we arrived, we seen a long line outside but we decide to wait
anyway while we was standing in the line we talked about school, friends and
our favorit movies sara were wearing a new jacket that she buyed last week
it look very nice on her after waiting for almost one hour we finally gets
inside the shop the clothes was everywhere and many people was pushing
and shouting i didnt liked the noise, but we still find some good deals i buyed
a pair of shoes and a jeans sara buyed a blue dress which she said she will
wear to her cousins birthday party we leave the shop after one hour and
went to eat lunch at a small cafe near by it was a long but fun day we was
both very tired when we got home

Some people think that school uniforms should be banned. What do you
think? Give 5 clear reasons and examples for your opinion.

I think school uniforms should not be banned.

I dont think we should ban school uniforms They are good for lots of things

first it makes every one look the same so kids dont get picked on for not
having the latest stuff

it helps because students don’t have to waist time on picking out there
clothing

it makes them more responsible and helps them set an morning routine

school uniform helps to identify students easyly

parents wont have to go to shop to shop only an unform shop

Argumentative Writing

Do you agree or disagree with the statement:

“Teenagers today depend too much on technology.”

Give 5 reasons and examples to support your answer.

I agree that teens use tech way too much these days.

I think teens use tech to much now

One thing is they never go outside just sit and play games all day
they dont talk face to face anymore just message on apps and stuff

some teens cant stop looking at they’re phones even when there eating or
with people

using phone at night is bad they dont sleep good and are tired in the
morning

they get distracted easily while doing work because they see a new video or
get a new msg and stop working
