Onision, who mainly attracts adolescent females as viewers, has come under fire on several
occasions for being a "cult leader, sociopath, and abuser of his girlfriends and wives." Fans of
Onision have tracked the ups and downs of his numerous romances over the years, including
his engagement and subsequent marriage to a fan who was underage (she was 17 at the time).
Although Onision has often made disparaging remarks about women on his channels, it all went
wrong when he dubbed a specific ex-girlfriend a "slut." Strong opposition followed, with so-

In February and March of this year, two lawsuits were filed against Onision and his current
partner, Kai Avaroe, accusing them of "recruiting, soliciting, and grooming" underage children.
After going silent for over three years on YouTube, Onision reappeared in February with a video

Felix Kjellberg, also known as PewDiePie, is the most well-liked vlogger on YouTube. It is said

Dawson's videos using racist themes have caused controversy on multiple occasions.

A judge has given former YouTuber Austin Jones, who admitted to one count of "receipt of child
pornography," a 10-year prison sentence (via BuzzFeed News).
Following Jones' guilty plea in February, YouTube took down his channel. Jones started his
musical career in 2007 and became well-known on YouTube for his a capella renditions of hit
songs.
Rumors in 2015 said he had asked young girls to submit his films. Jones acknowledged the
charges and expressed his embarrassment. However, he refuted claims that he asked fans to
make obscene movies for him.
In 2017, Jones was taken into custody for requesting two minor females to record pornographic
films. He acknowledged that he encouraged underage girls to send him pornographic films via
Facebook and iMessage.
Jones admitted guilt to the allegations. Despite demonetizing his account, YouTube said that
the channel had not broken any of its terms of service when it first removed his account after
entering a guilty plea.
But it swiftly had second thoughts and removed the channel. Jones will now serve a maximum
of ten years in prison.
