water, forest).
Method: - Collect various old newspapers and
magazines available in your house and school library.
Read and collect the figures and news related to pollution
occurring in different components such as water, soil, and

Observation table-
Component News Figure
related to
pollution
1. Air (1) We all are responsible for global
warming said Mr. Bhagwati Prasad,
founder of Save Indore campaign. We
have to take oath not to burn and also
not to permit anyone to burn garbage.
(2) The modern high technology has
polluted air by the presence of
electromagnetic waves too much that it
has created a direct impact on the
pregnant women, patients and children.
The remedy for protection from it is
available in Indian Philosophy according
to which patience is needed with use.
2. Soil (1) Science is not only a boon but also a
curse for human beings. Nuclear energy
is, though, useful in the development,
but nuclear waste is soil pollutant.
(2) The cracking of earth in different
parts of country is very dangerous. The
reason of cracking the earth is the fall of
level of underground water.
3. Water (1) Addressing a public meeting during
Save Narmada campaign Mr. Narendra
Mohan, a social worker stated that water
is life. Pollution of Narmada is
destruction of livings.
(2) Efforts are still made to drop Ganga
from its origin to the tunnels inspite of
the fact that water scientists have proved
from their experiments that a river
flowing spirally after striking the
mountains or hills makes itself Purified.
4. Forest (1) Forest animals migrate here and
there due to fire in forest which is very
harmful for environmental ecology.
(2) The forest animals are in danger due
to cutting of forests. This situation is not
only in India, but is everywhere in the
world. The cutting of forest affects the
environment as well as the forest
animals have found it difficult to
survive.

and balanced development of a nation. Main constituents
of environmental pollution are water, air and soil.
