SECTION - A

1 Given that LCM (26, 169) = 338, write HCF (26, 169).
2 Graph of the polynomial y= p(x) is given in
the figure. Find the number of zeroes of the
polynomial from the graph.

3 Write the zeroes of the polynomial x2 +7x+12

4 Write a quadratic polynomial, the sum and product of whose zeroes are 5 and -3

SECTION - B

5 Find the value of p and q so that the prime factorisation of 2520 is expressible
as 23 × 3𝑝 × 𝑞 × 7
6 Using substitution method, solve the pair of equations: x+y =5 and 2x-3y =4
7 The value of ‘m’ for which (–4) is a zero of the polynomial x2 – x – (2m +2).
8 For what value of k does the pair of equations kx+3y – (k-3) = 0, 12x+ky –k =0 has infinitely
many solutions ?
SECTION - C

9 Prove that √3 is irrational.

10 Find the zeroes of the polynomial 4𝑥 2 + 4𝑥 − 3 and verify the relationship between zeroes
and coefficients of polynomial

11 Find all values of p and q so that 1, -2 are zeroes of the polynomial f(x) = 𝑥 3 + 10𝑥 2 + px + q.
