Congratulations, Colin! You've been admitted to the College of Charleston.

The admissions committee is confident you have the potential to make significant contributions
to the College of Charleston community and the world. On behalf of our students, faculty and
staff, we can’t wait to welcome you to our campus community.

In addition to having been accepted to the College, you have been awarded a College of
Charleston merit scholarship. We are making this award in recognition of your outstanding
achievements so far. The total value of this scholarship is $12,000, and will be
administered over four years, in the amount of $3,000 per year.

Your award is contingent upon your current status as a non-resident (out-of-state) student.
Should you become a resident (in-state) student, your award will be adjusted accordingly.

If you plan to apply for federal financial assistance, please complete the 2025-2026 Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) asap. Access the FAFSA here. Our financial aid
packages will be released in early April. Please check our website for any updates to this
timeline.

The College guarantees housing for incoming first-year students who complete their
housing application by 11:59 p.m. EST on May 1. In June, you will get to select your
residence hall and room based on the date you completed your housing application – so please
complete your application as soon as possible. (The housing application opens February 1.)

Please keep in mind that your acceptance to the College is contingent upon maintenance of
your current academic performance and adherence to the College of Charleston Honor Code.

Again, congratulations on your acceptance to the College of Charleston, Colin! We know you
will benefit from what we have to offer you — a first-rate, individualized, interdisciplinary
education in one of the most vibrant cities in the country. We are here to support you and your
family as you embark on your extraordinary journey.
