I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

1. Define what are Computer and their Uses?


2. Determine the Basic Parts of Computer
3. Recognize the importance of knowing the different parts of the Computer.

Topic: Basic Parts of Computer


Reference: Fundamentals of Computers 3rd Edition 2012, pp. 100 – 103
Materials: Pictures, and Visual aids materials illustrated in cartolina

1. Prayer

- Everybody stand up and let us pray. ( Everybody will stand up


and pray )
2. Greetings

- Good day class! Good day ma’am!

- Before we start, please pick up those ( Everybody will pick all


pieces of paper, candy wrappers and etc. the garbage/trash around
them )
- You may now take your seats.

What is a computer?

A computer is an electronic device that takes


information as input and gives us output. It has
the ability to store, retrieve and process data.

- Now we will some uses of computer.

A computer is a very useful machine and it is
used at several places such as school, home,
banks, hospitals, airports and railway stations.

3. Discussion

-Now let’s go back to the computer and its uses.

A computer is an electronic device that takes

-In school, the computer helps the teacher to


teach and prepare report cards. At home, it
helps you to do homework, play games and
watch movies.

-Now we will learn the Computer parts name.

What is monitor?

A monitor is used to display the work going on


inside the computer.

What is screen?

A monitor screen is used the area of monitor


where pictures or output data displays.

What is CPU?

CPU is the brain of the computer and it is used


to store all the information.

What is Keyboard?

Keyboard is a set of keys that enables you to


enter data into computer. It is the main input
device of the computer.

What is Mouse?

A computer mouse is an input device that is


used with a computer. Moving a mouse along a
flat surface can move the cursor to different
items on the screen. Items can be moved or
selected by pressing the mouse buttons (called
clicking).

What is Printer?

A Computer printer is a piece of hardware for a Ma’am, It is important for us


computer. It’s allows a user to print items on to know the different parts of
