4. POWER MODE
1. DC18V input: Please plug in the output of power adapter here, and do not use adapter form elsewhere. Using
power adapter without our company’s tests or certification might cause damages to the Octopus or other devices.
On that occasion, the user must bear corresponding responsibility himself.

2. Output 1–6: All DC9V power output with the maximum volume of 100 mA are suitable for ordinary analog
effects. Under the circumstances of all LED lights on, instantaneous overcurrent in certain output would lead to the
corresponding LED light’s flash and the currents of this channel limit to 100 mA. Output 1–7 might not be able to
work properly if the connected digital effectors are of larger power consumption. Then you need to use output 8.

OCTOPUS 3. Output 7–8: Also DC9V power output with the maximum volume of 500 mA, is suitable for digital effects and
DC9V low-power guitar amplifiers. When instantaneous over current occurs in this channel, the correspnding LED
light would be flashing and the current limit to 500 mA.

4. If the input polarity oft he electrical device is please connect Polarity Reversal Cable to the DC Power
Cable, then connect the device, as shown:

5. SHORT-CIRCUIT PROTECTION
otherwise your product may be disqualified from the manufactor’s or distributor’s warranty. All 8 outputs in this unit have separate short-circuit protection, i.e. short-circuit in one channel won’t affect other
channels’ function. When any of channels shorts out, the short-circuited channel and the green LED light will off, but
in the other normal channels are still on. This helps locating the faults when there were short circuits among many
effectors.
