Audio script
The Moon is a natural satellite that orbits around Earth. It is the fifth largest satellite in the Solar system. It has a rocky
surface with many craters that were formed by meteoroid impacts. Since the Moon has no atmosphere, it is constantly
bombarded by space debris and cosmic rays. Thus it is uninhabitable for living creatures. However, humans have
managed to visit the Moon by launching rockets and sending astronauts to explore and conduct scientific experiments.
The historic Apollo 11 mission marked the first successful manned journey to the Moon.
One fascinating aspect of the Moon is its gravity. The Moon’s gravity is about one-sixth that of Earth, which makes it
easier to launch rockets and explore space. This low gravity also means that objects on the Moon weigh much less than
they do on Earth, allowing astronauts to jump and move around with ease.

II. Read the following passage and complete each sentence with NO MORE THAN THREE WORDS from the
passage.
Phones and computers have become an indispensable part of our lives, and most of us may find it hard to
imagine life without them. While these electronic devices certainly make humans’ lives much easier and more
convenient, many of us are of the opinion that our society is addicted to them.
It seems obvious that, nowadays, we are so much into phones and computers that a new term has been coined
“nomophobia” (no-mobile-phone-phobia) to describe our fear of losing and being far away from our phones.
People are on their phones for hours, which can even make them lose track of time. This kind of addiction can
cause a number of physical health problems: stiff necks, eye-strain, and obesity, etc. Besides, technology has
had bad impacts on our minds; anxiety and stress have become much more common among those who use
phones and computers frequently.
3
Phones and computers also significantly change the way we communicate. Although they help us
communicate easily with people who are far away from us, they strip us of many face-to-face conversations,
which later can negatively affect our communication skills.
1. Many people believe that people in our community are addicted to phones and computers.
2. A new term ‘ nomophobia’ has been invented to describe people’s fear of losing phones.
3. People spend hours on their phones and lose track of time.

Gợi ý
Dear Mia,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to share with you about my favorite planet in our solar system - Venus.
The name Venus comes from the Roman goddess of love and beauty. This planet is only slightly smaller than
Earth, but it has a very different atmosphere. Venus has a thick atmosphere made mostly of carbon dioxide, which
traps heat and makes it the hottest planet in our solar system, with temperatures hot enough to melt lead.
Despite its extreme conditions, Venus has a beautiful appearance with thick clouds that reflect sunlight, making it
the brightest object in our sky after the sun and the moon. Something special about Venus is that it rotates in the
opposite direction of most planets, meaning that its day is longer than its year!
I would love to hear about your favourite planet too.
Take care,
Tra
