Smart Client hardware accelerated video decoding
Gives significant performance improvements both in video rendering performance and up to
a 75% reduction in the CPU load of the workstation that runs the XProtect Smart Client.
Support for decoding video using Intel® Quick Sync (utilizing the Intel GPU that is embedded
in Intel CPUs).

Smart Client hardware accelerated video decoding (NVIDIA)
Allows users to add several NVIDIA graphic cards to their Smart Client machines and use that
power to display more than twice as many high-quality streams without increasing the CPU
load.

64-bit Recording Server
A 64-bit version of an application or service is not limited in how much memory it can address
and use, which means it can handle more data. For the Recording Server this translates to
recording many more cameras compared to what is possible with the 32- bit version.

Hardware accelerated video decoding in the Mobile Server
Decoding in the XProtect Mobile Server takes advantage of the processing power in the
Graphical Processing Units (GPUs) to reduce CPU load and improve performance of the
Mobile Server. XProtect automatically detects decoding capabilities for the installed GPUs and
distribute the load between all compatible hardware and eventually the CPU.

Adjustable transcoding logic (Mobile)
Optimization of the video transcoding in the Milestone Mobile server means improved
scalability with multiple users and intelligent bandwidth adaption.

64-bit Event Server
This component includes significant performance improvements and can take full advantage
of the available hardware resources (particularly memory).
