Sriya: Gm everyone. I am Sriya Nagpal

Shanaya: I am Shanaya Madan.

Sriya: Today we will present about the evolution of AI assistants.

Shanaya: A journey through the rise of digital companions.

Slide 1:

Sriya: Imagine your phone talks back to you

Shanaya: And a robot greets you with a smile.

Sriya: Doesn’t it feel like science fiction.

Shanaya: No, it’s not…it’s now.

Sriya: We will today share about some of the popular digital assistants from Siri to Cortana
to Alexa, Google assistant and Sophia.

Shanaya: All the Digital assistants use the technology of AI, natural language processing,
voice recognition and machine learning. They vary in the operating systems on which they
work and the extent of the tasks they can do.

Sriya: We begin with when phones found our voices

Hey Siri…. What’s the weather going to be at Gurgaon at 2.

Shanaya: Here’s the forecast: it’s mostly cloudy with 10 percent chances of rain.

Sriya: Great, Siri is informative but the challenge with Siri is it is only friends with apple
gadgets.

Slide 3

Shanaya: Then came Alexa who became our helper and made our homes smart. Let’s see
how….

Sriya: Alexa turns on the light please.

Shanaya: Okay

Sriya: wow Alexa you are such a good friend of mine. You do a lot of jobs for me
Shanaya: yup I am smarter than Siri…she was only friends with phones…but I am friend
with many smart gadgets, and I can make them do things for you.

Slide 4:

Shanaya: Well homes have become smart, but how can we have smart workplaces.

Sriya: well, I am Google assistant, and I can do it for you. I will help you schedule your
tasks, manage your calendar and communication and give you reminders too.

Shanaya: Ohhh, it’s like having a secretary.

Sriya: Yes, and I am inbuilt in your android phones and computers. Like Alexa, I don’t need
a separate device and an application to operate it.

Shanaya: There are many other digital assistants like these: - Cortana and Bixby.

Sriya: Here is a table comparing all of them.

Slide 6:

Shanaya: - Meet Sophia, a digital assistant who looks and emotes like all of us.

Sriya: She reads news, tells the weather forecast, takes interviews, teaches children and
makes us laugh too by cracking silly jokes.

Shanaya: She is much smarter and interactive than any other digital assistant ever used…

Sriya: But she is not better than us

Shanaya: Yes Sriya, AI is the backbone of not just our digital companions, it is used in
healthcare too.

Sriya: It is used to get information, compose music and develop new skills too.

Shanaya: AI can support us but is not a substitute to human touch and brain

Sriya: From Siri’s whisper to Sophia’s gaze……. AI has come a long way.

Shanaya: But this journey isn’t over …………The future is something we’ll build—together.

Sriya: Use AI as a partner, not a master.
