7. Known Issues and Workarounds
Appendix A. Known Issues and Workarounds
• Decoupled Multicore debugging: Launching multicore project on decoupled configuration with
selection of 2 out of 3 cores on New Project Wizard will end up in failed launch.
Workaround: Edit all references for unused core (M7_1 or M7_2) from
decoupled_multicore.cmm file.
• PnE relaunch/restart on multicore hangs: Relaunching/Restarting slave core in a multicore
session with PnE debugger will hang with Running state: User Request.
Workaround: Relaunch all sessions
• Restarting debugging session for single core project/ main core of multicore projects, with
PEmicro, will not reinitialize core.
Workaround:Relaunch debugging session for single core project/ main core of multicore
projects
• Multicore debugging with I/O on TRACE32 is not supported.
• NullPointerException occurs when trying to open the Library Configuration of any IAR Library
project.
• IAR Linker files .icf do not trigger the build process.
Workaround: Clean the project and rebuild.
• Syntax error warning on startup_ARMCM7. File cannot be fixed.

8. Revision history
Workaround: In S32 Design Studio, go to Window -> Preferences -> General -> Editors ->
Text Editors -> Annotations -> Index Markers and uncheck all boxes.
• Import/Export on S32K39x derivatives: If using export/import function on a S32K39x
derivative project, the newly created project launch will have the derivative's id. Since Segger
added support only for S32K396 , the debug will not work.
Workaround: Manual change launch derivative id to S32K396 in: Debug Configurations ->
Debugger tab -> Device Name.
