1. Sanjana is the branch manager of ABC handicraft private limited. The companies
objective is to promote the sales of Indian handloom and handicraft products. It sales
fabric, furnishing, readymade and household items made out of traditional Indian fabrics.
Sanjana decides quantities variety colour and texture of all the above items and then a
locate resources for their purchase from different suppliers. She appointed team of
designer and craft people in the company who developed some prints for bed cover in
bright colour on silk. Altho they look very impressive, they were more expensive then
they had plan to sell. Average customer could not afford to buy it. Praising their effort
Sanjana suggested that they should keep the silk bed cover for special occasions like
Diwali and Christmas and offers the cotton bed cover on a regular basis to keep cost
under control.

2. The management of ABC limited strongly believes that the member of organisation
should work toward full filling the common organisational goals. This requires team work
and integration of effort of all individual departments and specialist. This is because all
the individuals and department depend on each other for information and resources to
perform the respective activities. Manager need to reconcile differences in approach,
timing, efforts and interest. At the same time it should enable all the members to grow
and developed. Thus, there is a need to harmonize individual goals and organisational
goals.

4. Mita has a successful ice cream business at Bikaner, namely smart flavours. Her ice
creams are utterly delicious. She make ice cream from fresh milk and the same are
available in a wide range of flavours and packs. She said viable business object, even
work with the same in mind in order to ensure that the customers will come back for
purchasing. Having the first more advantage, Her business was doing well. To earn
higher profits, she started cutting cost. This would sometime lead to delay in delivery and
the ice cream was not reaching the market in time. Over a period of time, the demand for
her ice cream declined and because of it, the competitor centred the market. she lost
some of her market share to competitors. At the beginning of summer season, she got
back to back order for supply of 4000 ice cream pack of different flavour for special
occasion. To ensure that the task was completed in orders delivered in time, she hired
additional workers. She was, the able to produce and deliver the ice cream pack, but at
a higher production cost. While completing activities and finishing the given task for
achieving goals, Mita realise that she was ignoring one of the important aspect of
management. Identify the aspect of management that has been ignored by Mita. Also
explain the same with the help of an example.
5. Rajat joined as a CEO of Bharat Limited, a firm manufacturing computer hardware. On
the first day, he addressed the employees. He said that he believe that a good company
should have an employee suggestion and he wished to minimise employee turnover
ratio. He informed all employees that he would ensure that all agreement were clear,
fair, and there was judicial applicant of penalty. However, he said that he believe That
lazy personnel should be dealt with the sternly to send the message that everyone was
equal in the eyes of management. Also, that he would want to promote a team spirit of

the business was expanding due to good quality and reasonable prices. As the demand
was increasing, flavours Limited decided to explore bakery product as well. In order to
make bakery product, the company directed it workforce to work overtime, but this
resulted in multiple problem. Due to increased pressure, the efficiency decline and the
worker had to take orders from more than one superior. Workers for overburden and
their health was also affected. Gradually, the quality of the products begin to decline in
market share also went down. The company realise that they had implemented changes
without waiting for the required infrastructure. Identify and explain the

7. ABC Limited was engaged in the business of food processing and selling it products
under a popular brand. Lately, the business was expanding due to good quality and
reasonable prices. Also with more people working, the market for processed food was
increasing. New player Were also coming to cash in on the new trend. In order to keep
its market share in the short run and the company directed it existing workforce to work
overtime. But this resulted in many problems. Due to increase pressure of work, the
efficiency of the worker decline. Sometime the subordinate had to work for more than
one superior, resulting in declining efficiency. The division that were previously working
on one product were also meant to work on two more more products. This resulted in a
lot of overlapping and wastage. The workers were becoming indiscipline. The Spirit of
teamwork, which had characterised the company, previously was beginning to wane.
Workers were feeling cheated and initiative was declined. The quality of the products
was beginning to decline and market share was on the verge of decrease. Actually, the
company had implemented changes without creating the required infrastructure.

8. Manju, open a showroom in Delhi after completing a course and fashion designing. She
has employed 12 persons in her showroom. For greater productivity, she divides the
work into small task and each employee is trained to perform his her specialised job.
The sales persons are allowed to close the deal with a buyer by giving a maximum of
15% discount, where is the decision to give any further discount rest with Manju as the
final authority. In the earlier days of starting of the business, six of our employees were
asked to put an extra hours of work. In return, she had Promised to give them a special
incentive within a year. Therefore, after eight month, when the business was doing well,
she awarded a cash bonus to each of these employees to owner, her commitment.

a card for everyone and for every occasion. During the time of Christmas and New Year,
