1. Objectives:
The major project is designed to help students develop practical ability and working
knowledge of practical tools / techniques to solve real life problems related to the industry,
academic institutions and research in the field of computer science / information technology.
Each student needs to take up this major project as an individual. Projects could be based on
Application Development Technologies learnt in previous and or current semesters. As part
of the major project each student will have to prepare proper documentation consisting of
Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Modeling Techniques, Development Strategies
and Implementation Strategies.
2. Hardware Requirements:
• Pentium-IV processor or above
• 2GB RAM
• 40GB Hard Disk
• Graphics card
• Any other required Interfaces
3. Software Requirements:
Use latest software tools as per current industry demands.
⚫ Front end Tools:
◼ Student needs to mention IDE or any specific software that student used to design
front end part of the project.
⚫ RDBMS / Back end Tools
◼ Student needs to mention Backend or database used in as storage for the project.
⚫ Coding Technology
◼ The coding language used by student to code proposed project.
⚫ Internet Technologies:
◼ TCP/IP, FTP, Telnet, SMTP, Java, RMI, CORBA, Swing, JSP, Servlets.
⚫ Operating Systems:
◼ Windows 10 / 8 / 7 / 2000 / ME / NT / XP / Vista, UNIX, Linux, Android

4. Broad Areas of Applications:
• Database Management Systems
• Computer Communication and Networking
• Mobile Application Development
• Machine Learning
• Software Engineering
5. Major Project Guidelines
• Projects must be done individually.
• The Same report of two students will not be accepted.
• Must send the soft copy of the final project report with complete project details (source code,
executable files, project report & project presentation ppt).
• The University will evaluate the project by conducting Project Examination through internal
& external examiners.
• Students must demonstrate their project to the internal & external examiner on the date
specified by the university. The date will be mentioned in the university term-end
examination timetable.
• The soft copy must be submitted to the University by the students before the deadline.
❖ Major Project Development
The project under development must follow all necessary steps
Phase 1: Identification Phase
In this Phase students should identify the tools/technology required for conducting the Project
and also identify the hardware and software requirement for the Project.
Synopsis of Major Project: Synopsis of project must contain following information:
1. Title of the project
2. Objective
3. Resource required

Phase 2: Development Phase
This phase may involve actual Design and Implementation of the identified project.
Phase 3: Project Report: Project Report must contain following information:
1. The length of the report may be about 60 pages, with 1.5 line spacing, 1.25 inches margin
on either side, printed on A4 size papers. 10% variation on either side is permissible.
