PERT).Construction Resources: Human resources, machinery, materials, and
money (the 4 M's). Construction Site Layout and Logistics: Site selection,
safety, and equipment planning.

UNIT 2 : BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES


Types of Buildings: Residential, commercial, industrial, and special-purpose
buildings. Foundation Systems: Shallow foundations (isolated, combined,
strip), deep foundations (piles, caissons), and their applications. Superstructure
Construction: Brick, stone, and concrete masonry, frame structures, 8 2
prefabricated components. Roofing Systems: Types of roofs (flat, pitched),
materials used, and construction techniques. Finishing Works: Plastering,

Course Objectives
1 To develop practical skills in analyzing water quality parameters such as pH, turbidity,
dissolved oxygen, acidity, and chlorine levels.
