Presentation 2

Data modeling is the process of representing data to understand its organization and relationships within a system. The decision-making process involves seven stages, including understanding the scenario, analyzing information, identifying alternatives, and justifying decisions. Spreadsheets are tools for organizing, storing, and manipulating tabular data, featuring functions for data entry, formatting, validation, and analysis.

What is Data
Modelling
• The process of conceptually
representing data in order to
comprehend its organization,
relationships, and structure in a
particular context is known as
data modeling. It entails creating
a blueprint or visual depiction
that outlines how data items are
connected to one another and
interact inside a particular
system, database, or application.
7 stages in decision making process
• Understanding the scenario
• Identify the info & source
• Analysing the information
• Identifying the alternative
• Identify the consequences of implementing
• Making decision
• Justifying the decision
Understanding the scenario

Data modeling requires

understanding the domain, defining
entities and their properties, building
relationships, normalizing the data,
imposing constraints, and verifying
the model in order to fully understand
the scenario.
Identify the info and source
• Identifying info and source
is to evaluate the sources
that you should understand
the strength and limitation
of the source and info that
you use.
Analysing the information

- Analysing is the process that

intepret data , transforming it
into information and it also
involved examining data and
giving meaning to it,
Identifying the
alternative

• In project management, the

Alternatives Identification
technique is a step in the Define
Scope process. This method's
goal is to produce concepts for
various project completion
methods.
Identify the consequences
of implementing

•Finding alternatives enables

decision-makers to find several
options and take a wider range of
considerations. As a result, decision-
makers will be better equipped to
weigh the advantages and
disadvantages of each option and
decide on the best course of action.
Making
Decision
• Making decisions involves
adopting a course of action or
selecting between alternatives
after carefully weighing all
relevant facts, variables, and
accessible options. It entails
evaluating and weighing
various options or alternatives
to determine the most suitable
or desirable result.
Justifying
the Decision
• It is the thing that starts an
insurrection, resistance, conflict,
or disagreement. You may learn a
lot about this particular company.
As a result, decisions made by
many organizations are,
whenever possible, supported by
rational, fact-based reasoning.
Given that this seems to be the
most viable choice, much work is
put into supporting it with
relevant data.
What is a
spreadsheet?
• A spreadsheet is a computer
document or file used for tabular
data organization, storage, and
manipulation. It is frequently
utilized in a variety of industries,
including project management,
accounting, finance, and data
analysis. Spreadsheets are
functional tools that enable users
to enter data, do computations,
generate charts and graphs, and
automate processes.
