Importing Files To Procreate Gallery

Procreate gallery is where you can view, organize and import PSD drawing files. This is where all
your artworks are stored. In order to open a file, you need to share it and import it to Procreate.

Importing Brushes

Importing brushes in procreate is an easy process, you just need to download your brushes.
Then you just drop them in your brush Library.

Pressure Curve

The pressure curve controls how your lines are going to look. It's important to set up yours in
order to get the best lines possible. Procreate & iPad have a slightly different pressure curves
than Graphic Tablets & Photoshop. You'll learn more about that in Lesson 2.

Making New Layers

You can easily create new layers by dropping down the layers menu in Procreate and clicking
the Plus sign, you can organize and manage all your layers from here.

Grouping Layers

Grouping layers is important to manage your workflow, make sure you're grouping similar layers.
To group layers swipe them to the right in order to select them and then click "Group"

Avoiding Perfect Lines "Snap Tool"

Just like Photoshop, Procreate has some supplemental tools that make drawing "easier" for you.
The tool for making straight lines and circles is a supplemental tool and doesn't help you in
building muscle memory of drawing straight lines and good circles.

Using Quick Menu Shortcuts

Setting up a shortcut for quick menu is a really quick way to interact with your drawing canvas
and apply faster changes like flipping the canvas, using smudge or selection etc. You can even
add custom shortcuts to make your workflow smoother.

Customizing Quick Menu Shortcuts

You can customize the quick menu buttons by opening the quick menu and holding the specific
button you want to change, then select the action you want it to perform and you'll have a new
quick menu function.

Bluetooth Keyboard For iPad

You can connect your iPad with a bluetooth keyboard and use the pre-set shortcuts in
procreate, however Procreate can work well without using keyboard shortcuts as well.
