(b) States have been directed to implement and ensure the action, implementation and
monitoring of centrally sponsored schemes for implementing SDGs.
(c) The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has been made
responsible for developing national indicators for the SDGs.

The United Nations formulated 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the
2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
