1. WhatsApp Group

1. Why is the WhatsApp group created ?


WhatsApp group is a dedicated group created for the students who have
registered for learning Vishnu Sahasranaama. This will assist easier
communication between the students and the faculty / coordinator.

2. Who will be added to the group?


People who have registered for the class will be added to the WhatsApp
group based on your language and timing opted in theregistration.

3. What is my registration number?


There is no registration number allotted. If the required % in attendance is
reached you will be provided with Roll No.

4. Can you add my friend, relatives into this group?


No. Only registered persons will be added based on first come first serve.

5. Can I attend instead of my son/daughter/husband/wife?


No. You will have to Register yourself and attend the class. After you
register you will have to inform the coordinator with the details like
Registered Name, Email Id and Phone number to mark the attendance.

6. Can we change the name or any details if it’s been entered wrong?
Correction in Email id , location and phone number can be done and
minor changes (spellings or shortening ) in Name is allowed.

7. Can I join in the next batch if for some reason I am not able to continue in this
course?
Yes. You will have to inform the coordinator about it in advance along with the
details like Registered Name, Email Id and Phone number.

8. Is it possible to join my son/daughter/wife/husband now as they are interested


to learn along with me?
Yes. Please Register them and share the details like Registered Name, Email
Id and Phone number with the coordinator in order to add them to the current
batch within the first 2 Days.

9. Can I change my Language/ Time?


Yes but you will be removed from the current batch and added to the next
month's batch.

10.My friends and family are in another batch, can I shift to that batch?
No.

11. In case of doubt , whom should I contact ?


Your batch Coordinator.

12. How will I know who my Coordinator is ?


Coordinator details will be posted as soon as the WhatApp group is created
and students are added to the group. If in case you miss those details, your
coordinators are the ones who will be posting the instructions, links to join the
class. Please save their number to clarify your doubts.

2. Inaugural Function
1. What is the Inaugural function?
Inaugural function is an event where we introduce VISVAS Institute and
explain their Activities . Detailed process on how the classes are conducted p
and the rules to be followed are explained.

2. Is the timing of inaugural and class the same?


No. Inaugural is conducted on the first day of the course with 2-3 batches
combined for this function.

3. Will the link be the same for inaugural and regular class?
No. Separate links for inaugural and regular classes.

3. Class
1. When will the classes start?
Classes might start on the day of the inaugural function or on the next day in
the timing you have registered. Information will be posted in the WhatsApp
group you are in by the coordinators.

2. What is the group number and timing of my class?


The Group Number and timing of the class is displayed in the heading of the
Whats app group you are added in.
3. Can I change the timing of my class?
No. If you want a different timing or language you will be removed from the
current group and will be added in the next batch which happens in the
next month.

4. Can we have the rules and regulations explained in regional languages?


Your coordinators will explain in the regional language in your class.

5. Where does the class happen?


The class happens online in Google meet.

6. How can I attend the classes?


You can attend using a laptop or mobile.
You need to Download the Google meet App on your mobile.
Click on Play Store(Android) or App Store( IOS) to install in your mobiles.

7. Can we use the book which we have in our house?


No. We recommend following the pdf sent by VISVAS coordinators in the
group. The pdf’s are created in such a manner that you will be able to learn
with correct pronunciation.

8. Is the pdf provided by VISVAS in my regional language?


Yes, We have it in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

9. Is it required to take a printout of the pdf sent in the group? Yes. All
students must have a printout in hand while attending the class.

10.How should I login to Google Meet for the class using my laptop? Need to
click on the meet link provided by coordinators in WhatsApp group. It will
open a window as below.
Now click

on button. Coordinators would accept your request and you


will be entered into the class

11. Why should we take a printout of the pdf sent in the group? The content of
the pdf is prepared based on the correct pronunciation of the Naamas to
follow. It would also be easy to mark the important tips provided by the Faculty
or Guruji.

12.Do you send us audio files of the slokas for us to practice? Yes, We will be
sending the audio files of the slokas taught on that day for you to practice in
the WhatsApp group after the class.

13. Do we have practice sessions before the class?


Yes, Please login 15 mins before your class to practice slokas learnt in the
previous classes.

14.My mobile broke and can I attend the class from another mobile? Yes you
can. Inform the coordinator in advance so that they will mark your
attendance.

15.We are 2 or more people attending from the same display Id. How will you
mark our attendance?
If you have more than one registered person attending the class from a single
display id, then you will have to type in all the registered names who are
attending along with you in the chat box..

16.Can we get the full set of audio from poorvangam to phalashruti?


At the end of the course, you will be given the full set.

17.How will you mark the attendance?


Students have to mention their registered names in the chat box or message
box as soon as they join the Google meet of the class for the coordinator to
verify the names and display id’s and mark attendance. Skipping this step will
affect recording the attendance for the particular day.

18. If I miss any class, can I attend another timing class to learn about it or will it
be compensated?
No. You will have to learn it with the audio files sent in the group.

19.Can I invite my relatives and friends to this class by giving them the google
meet link ?
No. Please ask them to register and join in the next month's batch.

20.Will there be a test / exam ?


Yes, there will be assignments during the course.

4. ID Card
1. When will I get Roll No?
Roll Nos will be assigned after the 5th day. You must have 75% attendance to
receive a roll number.

2. When will I get my ID Card?


You will receive the ID cards before the 10th day.
3. I have some corrections that have to be made in the ID card? Corrections
regarding Name or Place are not possible as it has been verified before
sending the Roll No. If in case the ID card is not right or good you can send
an email to visvascourses@gmail.com along with Name, Roll No, Batch
Number and what correction has to be made.

4. I have registered my daughter but I am attending instead of her. Can I have


an ID card under her name or under my name?
No. ID cards would not be issued under either of the names.

5. Assessment
1. When will I be assigned the assignment?
As soon as the Guruji finishes 60 slokas you will be assigned an assessment.

2. Who will be included in the assignment?


People who have Roll Nos allotted will be assigned with an assignment.

3. How to submit my assignment?


A list of slokas numbers would be provided in the WhatsApp group. You
will have to record the slokas and send it to your group head/leader.

4. Can I get a certificate without completing the assignment? No. You will
not receive a certificate without completing the assignment.

5. Can we send audio notes to our guruji to check our pronunciations?


No, you will have to send it to your group head/leader only.

6. Certificate

1. What is the eligibility to receive the certificate?


The requisites are
1. 75% attendance
2. Completed the Assignment
3. Submitted the Feedback Form

2. Will I receive a certificate through post?


No. The ID card and certificate would be sent to the registered email id.
3. I did not receive my certificate. What should I do?
Please email us at visvascourses@gmail.com with your details like Name,
Phone number, Roll No.

7. After the course


1. What should we do after the course is completed?
You will be added to Satsang where everyone in the group would choose a
day and time and chant Vishnu Sahasranaama every week on that
day.(Approx 40 Minutes)

2. What is Satsang? When and how does it happen?


Your WhatsApp group will be converted to the Satsang group after the
completion of the course. All the batch mates meet weekly once to chant
Vishnu Sahasranmam.

3. Can I volunteer in VISVAS Activities?


With Pleasure. We would be delighted if you can volunteer and help us serve
better.

4. In what ways can I volunteer?


You can choose to be faculty, class coordinator,satsang coordinator, IT
related work and spreading a word about VISVAS activities.

5. Do you have any other class apart from this?


Yes. You can join B class where the meaning of Vishnu Sahasranaama would
be taught.

6. How do I register for a meaning class?


After the course coordinators would post the link to register for the meaning
class.

8. General Queries
1. Why do you teach the main stotram first and not start with Poorvangam? The
thousand names of Maha Vishnu are in the Main Slokas, that is why we
teach main Namavali first.
2. Will you teach the pronunciation of poorvangam and phalasruthi just like the
main stotram slokas?
It will be taught in a different method but not in a detailed manner, as we teach
the main Stotram.

3. Why can’t we learn the meaning of the slokas along with the pronunciation?
First, learning proper pronunciation is advisable.

4. If there is a death or age attending in the family how many days should we not
chant?
You can chant the next day if death occurs in the family. Please follow
your family customs.

5. Can Purvanyasa slokam be said by women?


Yes, M S Subbalakshmi amma has chanted it.

6. (Ladies question), for how many days we should not attend the class. Will you
give attendance for these days?
4 days, if you inform the coordinator, they will mark your attendance.
