Humpback Research Paper
Of course, no whale is more important than the other. However, the Humpback Whale is the most
marvelous creature of all of them. A typical Humpback Whale is 40 tons, and grows up to 40 to 60
feet long. It is known as the fifth largest whale in the world. Humpbacks are known as omnivores.
This means that they eat fish and plants in the ocean. The worldwide population of a Humpback is at
least 80,000 whales in all. They are known to be migrants just like other baleen whales.
Unfortunately, these innocent Humpbacks are currently endangered. Many of them are endangered,
because whalehunters kill them for the supply of oil and baleen. Humpbacks are compelling
mammals because they have a detailed body, odd habits, a diverse diet, and a vast habitat.
Humpbacks have an intricate body design. For example, they have black and white patterns and
scars, which are all different compared to other whales. The researchers use these differences to
tell each individual whale apart. Humpbacks did not just get it s name for no particular reason.
They are called Humpbacks , because when they dive they bend their back forming a bump. The
shape of their head looks very similar to the shape of an alligator head. In addition, there is a
mouthline that runs along the length of the head, but barely curves... Show more content on

Baleen whales are called migrants, which is why Humpbacks are always traveling in different
directions. While these whales are traveling they always travel close to the coasts of the ocean.
They migrate according to seasons. For example, in the Summer the North Pacific Whales will
travel south. The reason for this is because they always travel to the warm waters during breeding
seasons. However, they travel back north in the winter, so they can feed there. They are often found
in Hawaii or Baja, Mexico in the winter. Clearly, Humpbacks are continually moving and never stay
in one place for the whole
Juvenile Delinquency Is Not A Problem
Children constitute the most vulnerable section of society and are the most important asset for
the future and development of that society. It was righty coined by Abraham Lincoln A child is a
person who is going to carry what you have started. He is going to sit where you are sitting, and
when you are gone, attend to those things you think are important. You may adopt all the policies
you please, but how they carried out depends on him. He is going to move in and take over your
churches, schools, universities and corporations. The fate of humanity is in his hands . But, over
the past few decades juvenile violence crime has grown twice as quickly as that of the adults.
Childhood experiences plays a very significant role in the development of criminality in a juvenile,
generally this trait of criminality is not noticeable in the early life, but if they are acted upon future
delinquency can be avoided. Juvenile delinquency is not a problem in just one corner of the earth
but it is a problem faced worldwide in every country. In order to tackle with problems like juvenile
delinquency efforts are being made nationally and internationally to rehabilitate, protect and prevent
juvenile delinquency. Our country has from since quite sometime over the past few decades have
been working and aiming at protecting children and the juveniles in conflict with the legal system by
introducing various Acts and rules in order to do the same as mentioned above. The crime commited

Credence Of Daydreaming In The 1960 s
Singer pioneered research into this inner experience of daydreaming and the personal benefits in
the 1960 s and during the last decade neuroscience and brain imaging have added credence to those
early ideas and his early theories are now seen as being ahead of their time (Mooneyham Schooler,
2013). Functional measures of the resting brainprovide insights into network properties of the brain;
the fMRI illustrates the default mode network , where several structures of the brain show greater
activation at rest than during externally directed cognitive tasks (McMillan et al., 2013). Researchers
Christoff, Gordon, Smallwood, Smith, and Schooler (2009), conducted a study using experience
sampling probes during mindwandering in the fMRI. They
Iu Bloomington Case Study
The tuition fees for these colleges are somewhat similar. One similarity is the amount of tuition each
school has set. The annual tuition for Purdue is $23,002 per year (College Navigator). In
comparison, the annual tuition for IU Bloomington is $24,417 per year (College Navigator). One
difference, in this category, is what the tuition includes. The annual tuition estimates for Purdue do
not include personal or travel expenses (Big Future). On the other hand, the annual tuition for IU
Bloomington does include some personal and some travel expenses (Indiana University). Overall, in
this category, IU Bloomington is the best collegechoice because of what the tuition price includes.
Both of the colleges that were researched offer some form of financial aid to their students.
One similarity shown is the amount of students who received financial aid from the colleges
researched. Of the undergraduate students who enrolled at Purdue, 67% of those received financial
aid (College Navigator). In comparison, 71% of undergraduate students who had enrolled to IU
Bloomington received financial aid (College Navigator). Another form of financial aid that were
accepted by both colleges were loans and grants, these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One similarity shown is the research is the amount of students that attend the colleges. At Purdue, a
total of 39,752 graduate and undergraduate students attend the school (College Navigator). In
comparison, IU Bloomington only has 36,419 students attending the school (College Navigator).
Another similarity that is shown is the size of the town that each college is located in. Purdue is
located in a small city West Lafayette in Indiana (Big Future). IU Bloomington is located in a small
to medium sized town called Bloomington which is also in Indiana (Indiana University). Overall
there is no one best college in this category, it just depends on the reader s
What Makes A Name Hilton
Precisely what is it that makes a name so famous that people from all over the world flock to the
most fad destinations spots just to stay in a hotel? When you hear of the name Hilton
immediately the images of relaxation, luxury and quality spring into your mind. Yet, what is it
that put the name Hilton in such high demand when booking a place to stay? Conrad Hilton the
famous impresario built his timeless legacy from the ground up. From humble beginnings as a
general store owners son to the founder of over 500 hotels and resorts spread over 78 different
countries, Conrad Hilton redefined the meaning of lodging and hospitality and constructed the
expectations of what is known today as a stay at the Hilton. Conrad Hilton was born on December
25, 1887 in the desolate city of San Antonio New Mexico. Hilton was the eldest son and worked
for his father in a general store. His father wanted him to follow in his proud footsteps and run the
general store, young Hilton had other plans. He soon opened his own bank. That short lived
business venture ended just in time for what was to happen to Hilton next. He soon became
involved in politics and yet again restless Hilton did not stay very long in that profession. He then
went into war. During World War II Hilton served his time working with the supplies for the infantry.
Due to his knowledge of the general store Hilton s position was second nature to him. After the war
Hilton went onto yet another business venture.
Importance Of Bilingual Education
Bilingualism has been always a part of the U.S. history. In the early days of exploration and
colonization, French, Spanish, Dutch, and German were as common as English. No doubt many of
the inhabitants were conversant in more than two languages. Underlining the importance of the
bilingual education in United Statesthere are many different types of educational programs that exist
for emergent bilinguals. The historical concept of these programs shows the shift from a focus on
the home language and toward English only instruction.
As Ovando (2003) writes The 18th and 19th century responses to language diversity were shaped by
changing localized political, social, and economic forces rather than by any systematic ideas about
language itself (p. 4). 1700s to the 1880s were a time frame where a fair amount of tolerance neglect
existed toward the many languages. 1880s were the turning point in the historical development of
linguistic and restrictions in immigration policy.
Civil Rights Act Title VI and Bilingual Education Act Title VII are two examples of the rebirth of
bilingual education. Civil Rights Act Title VI prohibits discrimination based on race, color, and
national origin, prohibits denial of equal access to education due to limited English proficiency.
Bilingual Education Act Title VII recognizes the unique educational disadvantages faced by non
English speaking students, establish a federal policies to assist educational agencies, to serve
students with limited
Personification In The Giving Tree
Have you ever had someone take your kindness for weakness? Have you ever had someone use
you for your money and good fortune? There is a boy in the giving tree that is doing all of this to
something who loves this boy. the boy keeps taking advantage of all the trees stuff and resources. In
the Giving Tree, Shel Silversteinuses personification to show the relationship of the tree and they
boy, and how the tree has feelings. Shel Silverstein used personification to make the tree into a
person and how the tree can show love to the boy and how it can do all this stuff just for the boy
to spend time with have you ever had someone take your kindness for weakness? Have you ever
had someone use you for your money and good fortune? The tree waits and waits for the boy and

The boy never slows down and enjoys time with people. the boy just wants what the tree has, and
is taking advantage of the tree s stuff. I think the tree does too much for the boy and the boy gives
nothing in return. The tree always gives the boy anything he needs and the boy never even says
thank you or anything. The boy always gets what he wants, and the tree always gives it to him. The
boy is all i want this, and i want that. i want a house, i want a family.
I want a boat that will take me far away from here. The boy never stops wanting and never says
thank you or shows any kind of sympathy towards the tree, it s a one way love. The boy is so
selfish, he only wants what s good for himself and does not care about the people who have been
there for
Augustus Caesar Bad Leader
Many people would not hear the words good leader and Adolf Hitler in the same sentence. Nor
would anyone usually say that Mahatma Gandhi was an aggressive leader. Both past leaders
show many similar leadership qualities, but the way they broadcasted their ideologies diverges
severely. Many world leaders possess the qualities of authority, but none can quite be a perfect
commander. In fact, there is no such thing as a perfect leader. No commander can perfectly lead a
division into battle, and no chief can perfectly manage his tribe. For every strength of a good
leader, a flaw exists. There is no impeccable image of a leader. Everyone knows of AugustusCaesar,
the first Roman emperor. There is a whole month named after him. Augustus was a great leader
favored by the people and by neighboring countries. But most people don t know that he also
banished his daughter and granddaughter, that his potential heirs kept mysteriously dying, and that
he was extremely egotistical. Even though he expanded his empire more than any other leader had
before and reformed the entire government of Rome, he still had many pitfalls that kept him from
being a perfect leader. In the book Lord of the Flies, Ralph is an example of an optimal leader. He

opposites in terms of personality. Piggy is the type of guy that is smart but not self confident,
where Jack is arrogant, over confident, and nearsighted. For example in the beginning of the book
when Ralph didn t ask him about his real name. Jack is a good leader in terms of brute strength but
does not have an ability to do what is really best for his
Explain Why There Is A Form Of Australian Economy
Australia has an interesting form of government, but their economy is very strong. Australia s
government is a constitutional monarchy. This means the Australian constitution decides how the
country should be governed. The Australian economy is very strong. It is one of the world s richest,
most developed countries. Its wealth has come from farming and mining, unlike other countries
whose wealth comes from manufactured goods. Australiasolely depends on its mines and farms to
produce goods that will later be exported. Australian transportation is the same as American
transportation. They use cars, buses, trains, ferries, planes and boats to get around. The most
common form of transportation is by car. In modern day Australia, people most frequently

Assignment Guidelines Guidelines for the successful submission of assignments Students are
sometimes unsure as to what constitutes work of an acceptable standard when submitting an
assignment. Naturally, programmes offered at different NQF Levels demand different types of
responses. An NQF Level 4 or 5 qualification probably requires the student to demonstrate the ability
to describe, explain and apply a concept, whereas at a graduate level (NQF Level 6/7), students must
be able to analyse, evaluate and synthesise information. It is therefore important that you... Show

Always use your own words, unless you are directly quoting from a source (refer to the section on
referencing and plagiarism that follow). Don t assume that the reader understands what you are
saying. The reader wants to know your understanding of the issues (demonstrating competence).
Finally, always read through your assignment on completion to ensure that your answers are clear
and concise. It is also very important to ensure that there are no spelling or grammatical errors in
your assignment. Technical presentation and precision make an important contribution to the quality
of an assignment and must therefore not be neglected or disregarded. Guidelines for Referencing
Precise and accurate referencing is important: Acknowledgment: It is incumbent on you to
acknowledge the source of ideas, concepts, models and arguments used in your assignment. The
person who developed the idea or concept should be recognised and acknowledged. Scholarship:
Academic referencing is important as it teaches skills of careful and painstaking scholarship. An
assignment that sets out all sources accurately and consistently, according to an agreed upon
referencing style, immediately sets a high standard for the piece of work. All work that is
referenced in the assignment needs to be listed in a Reference List. If the assignment consists of one
long essay question, the reference list will appear at
‘The Metamorphosis’ and ‘A Hunger Artist’
There are many parallels and differences between Franz Kafka s The Metamorphosis and A Hunger
Artist . Kafka portrays these differences and similarities very effectively through his utilization of
elements such as transformation, dehumanization, and dedication to work. Through his works,
Kafka communicates with the reader in such a way that almost provokes and challenges one s
imagination and creativity.
Kafka is known for his highly symbolic and oblique style of writing. It is no surprise that several of
his pieces contain the same major themes, just in different settings. The fact that he repeats his styles
only makes the message that he is trying to convey much stronger. In both The Metamorphosis and A
Hunger Artist , the main ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In A Hunger Artist, the main character s lack of fulfillment causes him despair. He reacts to this
disparity by starving himself, almost as if showing resistance to the outside world. He views
himself as separate from everyone else, thus confining himself in a cage (Bedford 636).
Another evident similarity between the two works is the treatment of the characters. Both Gregor
and the hunger artist are treated inhumanely. This is clear in The Metamorphosis when Greta begins
to think of Gregor as an it (Metamorphosis 51). Although Gregor has transformed physically, he is
still human inside. Everyone around him fails to see that though, and only regard him by what they
see, which is a bug. Likewise, the hunger artist is not treated as a human being either. The hunger
artist is infatuated with being the best faster in Europe. This obsession deprives him from forming
any social or long lasting relationships. His alienation eventually accounts for his demise, along with
the fact that he is constantly misunderstood. The people who come to see him, as well as the people
who guard him, do not understand that he is not fasting for amusement. Fasting beyond the forty day
limit is important to the hunger artist, but no one can comprehend why, which creates a barrier
between the hunger artist and the outside world. Because of this barrier, people treat him as if he is
just another animal in a cage. When he joins
