INDUCTION PROGRAM

IV: Participants: Parents, GPTA & PTA Officers,
Teachers, Barangay & Council and
other Visitors
V. Activity Summary Induction program is a school activity
that takes place once in every school year. It
is a designed structure to introduce the
newly elected parent officers that may lead
the school changes and improvements with
the help of School head, Teachers and other
stakeholders to provide a healthy and
collaborative school environment for the
learners.
During this activity, the newly elected
parent officers are introduced to the Parent-
Teachers Association (PTA) and will have to
take an oath.
This activity strengthens the
relationship between the parents, teachers
and other stakeholders to share
responsibility in developing life-long
learners. An activity in which every parent
and teacher enjoys and celebrate.
A search for Mr. and Mrs. PTA is also
part of the induction program where the
newly elected Muse and escort represents
each grade level by dancing “Curacha” and
gain support from other participants and
visitors. The amount that was collected
during the search serves as an additional
fund for PTA projects for school
improvement. After the induction, the
committees or officers will plan out about
the most needed project that will be
beneficial for all the learners and teachers of
CES.

VI. Problems Met and Solution Some of the Parents and Teachers aren’t
present during the program due to an
important matter that needs an immediate
attention. However, the program takes place
and the celebration was smoothly attended
and ended with collaboration and enjoyment.

VII. Lessons Learned: Always be positive and as parents and


teachers who shares responsibilities in
developing life-long learners, always be
present and open to suggestions and extend
a hand to help. Never get tired of building
good relationship and communication with
the teachers as well as the parents, not just
with the officers because we, drivers of
helping children have a good future are
responsible to teach them how to
communicate well with others.

VIII. Recommendation and Empower GPTA/ PTA members through


Suggestions: providing orientations, consistent
monthly meetings about their duties
and responsibilities, giving them
strong and immediate feedback about
the progress of their children and by
motivating them by giving them
recognition and acknowledgement for
their good contribution.
