This week:20/10/2024
Mathematics: Students learned to understand π as the ratio of circumference to diameter and to use the
circumference formula.

Global perspectives: Students understood and identified multiple causes for one issue as well as multiple
consequences for one issue after watching a documentary and filled in a diagram through a Think-Pair-Share
activity in relation to the objective set. They were also given assessment to evaluate the depth of their
knowledge of past discussions.

English: Students learnt how dialogue reveals character and voice, explored story structures and endings,
analyzed the effects of figurative language, and identified explicit / implicit information to deepen their
understanding of narratives.

ICT: Students understood the concept of mobile operating systems and learned how to make the
difference between android and iOS.

ART: Students created detailed drawings by scratching away a surface to reveal the layer beneath.

French : Students learned about the conjugation of the verb "to be" in the present tense and participated in
rehearsals for the national day.

PHY: Students learned the effects of unbalanced forces and the definition, formula, and calculations of speed.

Bio: Students learned how every living cell got the energy it needed to stay alive and the difference between
breathing and respiration.

CHEM: Students learned how to investigate the properties of solutions and how to practice measuring mass
and volume.
Arabic (Arabic 2 ) :

Students learned: *Poetic Texts* - *Title: Omani Cities*. They read the poetic verses and strived to master
their recitation. They also learned to derive a general idea from the text, recognized new vocabulary, and
identified sources of rhythm and rhyme.

Next week: 03/11/2024 ( After mid-Term break).


Mathematics: Students will learn:
• Understand distance measurement in miles and kilometers.
• Derive and use area formulas for parallelograms and trapezium.
• Apply Euler's formula for 3D shapes.

English: Students will :


• Explore how dialogue conveys character.
• Identify the effect of explicit and implicit information.
• Consider how different cultural beliefs affect how readers react to stories.

Bio: Students will:


• learn about the structure of blood, functions of red blood cells,white blood cells and blood
plasma.
• Have a unit test of chapter # 1 (Respiration)

Chem: Students will learn:


• How to make solutions of different concentrations .
• How to compare the number of solute particles in solutions of different concentrations.

PHY: Students will learn:


• Speed-time Graphs
• Turning effect of Forces
• Problem Solving

Arabic (Arabic 2) :
- Students Will Learn:
The lesson continues with the *Poetic Text*.
*Title: Arab Cities*
Students will read poetic verses and strive to master their recitation. They will also solve the book’s
activities and practice memorizing some verses.

Homework:
Arabic (Arabic 2 )
*Note:* Some students received Booklet 1, which is the first part for learning Arabic, while the remaining
students will receive the following levels: Booklet 2 and Booklet 3 through ClassDojo. We ask everyone to
complete these booklets at home before the start of the school week, in order to enhance their skills.
