1ST SLIDE: Good day everyone!

I am Karl
Angelique Lagrio a first year student
taking up Bachelor of Science in
Accountancy. And here is my pecha kucha
presentation about Economic
Development.

2nd SLIDE: First, what is Economic

Development? It
isthe process by which a country or nation
progresses from a lowincome economy to
a thriving modern industrial economy. It is
also about the Philippines’ economy,
including about jobs, businesses and
money.

3rd SLIDE: So, how does this helps us?

Accountants need to understand more
than just numbers. In a more complex
way, It helps us advice and understand
businesses better. We can help them plan
well for the future.
4th SLIDE: Well, I have a confession to
make. I hate economics, but when I
realized it is everywhere I learned to love
it overtime. In here it includes the
analyzing of solution to the problems and
several issues that are economy have
been facing.

5th SLIDE: In this course I learned a lot of

things but let me discuss just the top
three of them that really caught my
attention.

6th SLIDE: First is the labor force. What is

labor force? The labor force is the number
of people who are employed plus
the unemployed who are looking for work.
It also includes individuals ages 15 and
above who are employed or actively
seeking for employment. Concisely
stating that it encompasses both those
working and those looking for a work.

7th SLIDE: The thing that caught my

attention is that I can relate to the labor
force. Wherein, as a college student who
is employed by doing a part time job and
earning enough money for my
allowances. I can say that I am proud to
be a part of the labor force and that is
something that I will never be ashamed
of.

8th SLIDE: I have learned that being

included in the labor force at this age was
something to be always proud, as our
country is known for having high
standards when it comes to work. I’ve
also learned that being employed was not
easy, as someone like me, a college
student, being good at time management
is what we needed.
9th SLIDE: Being employed at the age of
18 also helped my parents because they
don’t need to give me allowances
anymore as I can provide it, because of
being included in the labor force.

10th SLIDE: The second is the Inflation.

What is Inflation? inflation is a sustained
increase in the general price level in an
economy. Inflation means an increase in
the cost of living as the price of goods
and services rise.
