OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
Identify and name basic family members in English
Use simple sentences to describe their family
Understand basic Filipino family values
Practice speaking and listening in an online setting
PART 1: ICEBREAKER
Activity: Emoji Guess Who?
Teacher sends 👨👩👧, 👴, 👧 in chat or screen share
Ask:
“Who do you see?”
“Is this a mom or a sister?”
Students guess in the chat or say out loud.

PART 4: SPEAKING ACTIVITY – “This is My Family”

In the Philippines:
Families are often big and close-knit
Children often live with their parents until marriage
Respect is shown with words like “po” and “opo”
Family gatherings are common during birthdays and Christmas
