technology. Technology ,today, plays a very important role in
our life. It is seen as a basis of growth of an economy

today’s scenario. This is because technology makes our work
much easier and less time consuming.

one such field is Education
2.-What is technology for learning: Technology for learning is
an umbrella term that describes communication, information and
technological tools used to enhance learning, teaching and
assessment.
-Electronic devices in learning: tablet, computer, smartphone,
laptop,…

+ Technology as a learning tool
3.Purposes for using them: read articles, use educational apps,

outside the classroom and empowering educators to deliver
immersive, personalized learning experiences that prepare
students to thrive in the workplace of the future.

learning in a way that no teacher or school could ever replicate it
can act as a vast reservoir of information.

active in learning

on their own time.

in the work place.
Negative impact:

cameras and similar equipment have become great sources to
cheat in exams.
+It is easier for students to write formulas…,with least chances
of being caught.
-Lack of focus:
+SMS or text messaging has become a favorite pastime of many
students. Students are seen playing with their smartphone day
and night, and very often even between lectures.
+ Being ever-connected to the online world has resulted in lack
of focus and concentration in academics and to some extent.
-Many experts and experienced people say that, due to such
technology in education, students imagination is affected, their
thinking ability is reduced.
- There can be health issues too when used over limit: sleep
problems, eye strain, back and neck fixes…
Conclusion: Let's re-examine the question is technology more
beneficial or harmful to our students we realize that it's the
wrong question to ask because it doesn't matter if technology is
more beneficial or harmful to students when as schools and
educators, their responsibilities to do what's best for students
and students have a device in their pocket that is both infinitely
valuable and infinitely dangerous that's why it becomes clear
that utilizing technology in the classroom is less of a choice and
more of a responsibility. Therefore, whether technology for
learning and serving learning purposes is effective or not
depends on our consciousness.
Open question: In your point of view, which do you prefer to,
learning with technology support tools or traditional learning.
And give reason.
