VII. Course Description: This course provides a solid foundation in computing, covering hardware, software, networks, and the broader societal impact
of technology. Students will gain practical skills through hands-on activities while exploring the dynamic computing industry and its diverse applications
in fields like biology, sociology, and environmental science.
Delving deeper, the course will equip students with an understanding of computer systems architecture, security measures against malware, and the
intricacies of the internet. A foundational grasp of web development through HTML and CSS will also be covered. By the end, students will possess a
comprehensive knowledge of computing, preparing them for further academic pursuits or professional careers.
VIII. Course Credit/Unit: 3 units / 2 hours lecture and 3 hours laboratory
