Elon Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa,
in 1971. When he was a child, he loved
reading, science, and computers. At the age of
12, he made a small video game and sold it to
a magazine. He was very smart and curious.
As a young man, Elon moved to the United
States to study. He went to the University of
Pennsylvania. After that, in 1995, he started a
company called Zip2 with his brother. The
company helped newspapers show maps and
business information. In 1999, they sold Zip2
and Elon made millions of dollars.
Then, he started another company called
X.com, which later became PayPal. It helped people send money on the internet.
In 2002, eBay bought PayPal, and Elon became very rich.
That same year, he created SpaceX. His dream was to send rockets into space
and go to Mars. At first, the rockets failed, but in 2008, SpaceX sent a rocket into
orbit and brought it back. It was a big success.
In 2004, Elon joined Tesla, a company that makes electric cars. People didn’t
believe electric cars could be popular, but Elon worked
hard. Now, Tesla is one of the most famous car companies in the world.
Elon also started SolarCity, Neuralink, and The Boring Company. He wanted to
make clean energy, connect the brain to computers, and build tunnels for faster
travel.
By the 2020s, Elon Musk was one of the most famous inventors and business
leaders in the world. He worked a lot, took big risks, and never gave up. His ideas
changed the world and continue to inspire people everywhere.
