MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSES (MOOCs)
 A student may choose two different MOOC Courses MOOC-I in Vth Sem. and MOOC-II in VIth Sem
against Programme Elective-II (PE-II) and Programme Elective-IV(PE-IV) respectively. The elective
papers PE-II and IV are of three (03) credits each, therefore the MOOCs courses should be of same
three credits.
 Department will provide the list of MOOC course to students before those are available in the portal.
 A student can opt for MOOCs course at any stage from 3 rd Semester to 8th Semester. Grade obtained
by MOOC course will be replaced suitably in his/her grade sheet.
 If a student fails to clear MOOC course, his grade card will reflect as fail.
 Existing evaluation and grading scheme of SUIIT will be applicable for the MOOCs courses/elective
papers.
 To opt the MOOC courses, the student can visit the SWAYAM portal (Govt. of India) directly and
register the course as per the courses offered in Odd/Even Semesters by SWAYAM. For registration
to MOOCs, the students shall abide by the norms and policies proposed by SWAYAM. For students
enrolled in SWAYAM, it usually charges minimal fee per course and awards a certificate of
completion. Students need to register for the course on payment of their own and submit the certificate
to the institute.
 Some frequently offered MOOC courses offered in SWAYAM portal is listed below.
