-What kinds of machines are used for work in modern homes in your country?

+ In my country, most modern households have basic machines

->washing machines, refrigerators, and rice cookers.
Why?
These are almost essential
Save a lot of time
Example
. In middle-class families
people also use vacuum cleaners, microwaves, and even air purifiers. Some houses
even have smart home devices, like robot cleaners or automatic lighting
overall
these machines make daily life much more convenient and comfortable.
- How have these machines benefited people? Are there any negative effects of
using them?
+the main benefit
they save time and reduce physical effort.
 example
instead of hand-washing clothes, a washing machine can do it in less than an
hour
+However, there are some drawback
- become too dependent on machines and do less physical work, which is not always
good for health.
- consume a lot of electricity, so the bills can be quite high.
( PERSON + MACHINE)
Do you think all new homes will be equipped with household machines in the
future? Why?
-Yes, I believe so.
+Technology is becoming cheaper and more widely available, so even average-
income families can afford these devices
+In the future, I think every new home will come with basic machines like air
conditioners, dishwashers, and washing machines.
-The reason is that people now expect comfort and convenience as part of their daily
lifestyle. Without these machines, it would be hard to imagine modern living.
Do you think people rely too much on technology?
-Definitely yes.
-In this day and age, people use their smartphones for almost everything, like paying
bills, ordering food, or even studying.
-This makes life easier but also creates dependence.
-(example) many people panic if they lose their phones because they store all their
contacts and information there. In a way, technology is shaping how we live, and
sometimes people forget how to manage things without it.
5. Do you think men and women view technology differently?
+I think men and women both appreciate/value technology, but their interests are a bit
different.

+ Men are usually more attracted to gadgets like gaming devices, laptops, or smartphones.
+Women, on the other hand, might focus more on household appliances that save time in
cooking or cleaning.

- Of course, this is just a general view, because nowadays many women also enjoy the latest
tech gadgets and many men care about practical household devices.

6. How have developments in technology affected employment in your country?

-Technology has changed the job market a lot in my country.

+On one hand, it has created new careers in areas like IT, online business, and digital
marketing.

+On the other hand, many traditional jobs are disappearing.

For example, machines in factories can now do the work of several workers. Overall, it brings
both opportunities and challenges, so people need to keep learning new skills to stay
competitive.

7. Some people think that technology has brought more stress than benefits to employed
people nowadays. Do you agree or disagree?
-I partly agree with this idea.

+ On the positive side, technology makes work faster and more efficient.

+For example, people can hold online meetings or share documents instantly.

-However, it also means employees are expected to be available all the time, even after office
hours-> Many people feel stressed because they have to reply to emails or messages late at
night. So, I think technology is helpful, but it can also reduce work–life balance.

8. Do you think there should be regulations on the use of mobile phones?

+Yes, I believe some regulations are necessary.

+For instance, using mobile phones while driving should definitely be banned because it can
cause serious accidents.

+Phones should also be restricted in places like classrooms, cinemas, or meetings, where they
disturb other people. Of course, people should have the freedom to use their phones, but some
clear rules would help maintain safety and respect in society.

9. What (minimum) age do you think is appropriate for owning a cell phone?
+In my opinion, around 12 or 13 years old is appropriate.

+At that age, children often travel to school alone, and having a phone helps parents stay in
contact with them.
+ Younger kids, however, may not be responsible enough and could get addicted to games or
social media. If parents give their children phones too early, it might affect their study and
social skills. So, 12 or 13 seems to be a reasonable age.

10. Do you think modern technology has any negative influence on communication?
Yes, I do. Technology makes it easier to connect, but it also reduces face-to-face
conversations.

+Nowadays, many people prefer texting or chatting online rather than talking directly.
Sometimes families sit together, but everyone is busy with their phone instead of
communicating. This habit can make relationships weaker because online messages cannot
fully express feelings and emotions.

11. Why do some people dislike text messages?

+Some people dislike text messages because they think texting is impersonal. Messages don’t
always show tone or emotion, so they can be misunderstood easily.

+ Older people may also find texting difficult compared to calling, since they are not used to
typing on small screens. Besides, text messages can sometimes feel cold and distant, while a
phone call sounds more natural and friendly.

12. Why do people prefer texting as compared to phone calls?

-I think the main reason is convenience.

+Texting is fast, cheap, and people can reply whenever they have time. Unlike a phone call, it
doesn’t interrupt you if you’re in a meeting or on public transport. Also, many people feel
more comfortable expressing themselves through writing rather than speaking. That’s why
texting has become so popular, especially among young people.

13. What do you think are some of the main differences between written communication
and spoken communication?
+Well, I think written communication is usually more formal and permanent.

For example, emails or letters are often used in professional situations because they can be
kept as records.

-Spoken communication, on the other hand, is quicker and more natural. It allows people to
use tone, facial expressions, and gestures to show emotions. Both are useful, but they serve
different purposes in our daily lives.
