Dear Friends,
On behalf of the organizing committee of Pediatric Oncology Nursing Conference 2025, we are pleased to
formally invite you to participate in the 4th National Pediatric Oncology Nursing Conference, scheduled to take
place at ACTREC, Tata Memorial centre in Mumbai on 17th, 18 and 19th of September, 2025 to celebrate
World Childhood Awareness Month and International Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses Day on 8th
September. It aims to empower nurses and allied professionals with cutting-edge knowledge, compassionate care
strategies, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
The impact of childhood cancer translates into years of life lost, more significant inequalities, and economic
difficulties. This situation can and should change.
The most common types of cancers in children are ALL, Brain and other CNS tumours, lymphoma and
Neuroblastoma.
This conference is organized to enhance the knowledge of nurses regarding Pediatric Hematological
Malignancies and the recent advances in its treatment.
The objective is to enhance knowledge about pediatric oncology among nurses and to create an opportunity for
networking which will help in widening their horizons. We invite you to join with us and collectively achieve the
goal set by WHO to achieve at least 60% survival for all children with cancer by 2030.

ENHANCING OUTCOMES IN PAEDIATRIC HEMATOLOGICAL MALIGNANCIES

The Organizing Committee invites all interested nurses who want to submit their scientific work in the form of Oral or Poster
presentation under the following categories specific to Paediatric Nursing
 Innovative approaches to pain management in pediatric cancer patients
 Nursing strategies for improving medication adherence
The role of the oncology nurse in palliative and end-of-life care
 The impact of childhood cancer on siblings and families
Nursing's role in promoting survivorship and long-term follow-up.

Abstract Text
Abstract should be limited to 300 words and is Exclusive of sub-headings
Abstract should clearly state the following:
 Backgrounds and Aims
Methods
Results
Conclusions
The abstract may include one table
Use only standard abbreviations. Abbreviations must be consistent and be defined on first usage e.g. Wilms tumor (WT),then subsequently
use abbreviations (WT).
Disease names should be written without apostrophes, for example : Wilms,tumor etc. Please do not refer to patients by their diseases e.g.
“Wilms tumor patients” and instead identify them as “Patients with wilms tumor”
Use generic names of drugs. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content.
Do not begin sentences with a number – type the number in full, for example, it should be “Three patients....”Instead of “3 patients....”
Number beginning with a decimal point should be preceded by a zero e.g. p = 0.05
All measurements must be in metric units.
 An acknowledgement with an identification (unique) number shall be shared with you within one week of receipt of your abstract.
Please refer to this abstract number in all correspondence regarding the abstract. Do check your spam / junk folder if you do not see an
acknowledgement, before contacting us and do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
Presenting authors must be a registered participant. All co-authors must be aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its
submission.
All abstracts should be submitted and presented in English with accurate grammar and spelling.
Abstract submitters should disclose any conflict of interests while submitting the abstract.
