Apple (iphone)
Globalization Process
01.
Design,
California USA
Every iPhone starts at Apple's
Cupertino campus. Engineers
create prototypes that undergo
1,000+ tests before final approval.
Designs are digitally shared with
global suppliers.
02.
MATERIAL
SOURCING
Apple manages 200+ suppliers across 43
countries through its Supplier Responsibility
Program. Critical path components include:
Semiconductors: Custom A-series chips
fabricated by TSMC (Taiwan) using 3nm
process technology
Displays: OLED panels from Samsung Display
with proprietary LTPO backplane technology
Advanced Materials: Aerospace-grade
aluminum alloys and ceramic shield glass
03.
Manufacturing
(China/India/Vietnam)
Foxconn’s automated factories
assemble iPhones with robotic
precision, while human workers
handle complex tasks. The
Zhengzhou facility produces
500,000 units daily, with newer
factories in India and Vietnam
diversifying production. Each
device undergoes 1,200+ quality
checks.
04.
GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION &
COMMERCIALIZATION
iPhones are shipped globally
using air and sea freight, with
logistics handled by companies
like DHL, UPS, and FedEx. India
now uses expedited “green
corridor” customs routes to
quickly export iPhones, especially
to the U.S. and EU. Once delivered,
iPhones are distributed through
Apple Stores, Apple.com, telecom
