OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
To apply the objectives for civic consciousness and volunteerism the Students will
conduct a community immersion. This program will serve as a lifelong learning
experience for the students and even the faculty. Community Project provides a mutual
understanding between community and school, it gives satisfaction and fulfillment for the
holistic development of every individual.
For the past years of implementing the rogram to the we established a lot of Community
Involvement in the City of Muntinlupa to our different Barangay. The mplementers and
Students give the chance to understand and realize more the various concerns that the
underprivileged communities are experiencing. It will widen and enrich their experiences
as they grow to become more responsive to the needs of other people and more civic
conscious whose ideas and goals are geared towards the betterment of society and
communities.
SAMPLE PROJECT PROPOSAL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
❑ Background of the Project
One of the Indigenous people in our country is the Dumagat Tribe that mostly live
in the mountains. These tribes live a simple life away from the city. We can see most of
the Dumagat Tribes in Brgy. Puray, Rodriguez Rizal in different sitios. Their life is not
easy but they are striving to make it easy.
The Dumagat Tribe in Sitio Kabuhoan, Brgy. Puray, Rodriguez Rizal is in need of
help because poverty is their major problem in their community. We have noticed that
many out-of-school youths in sitio Kabuhoan, preferred to help their parents than going
to school. We want to help the people in that Sitio by conducting a literacy and numeracy
program including Values Formation and Bible Sharing and First Aid, Safety Measures
in Disasters and Calamities so that we can apply and make it a sustainable project to the
Community of Brgy. Puray. They live in the mountains and cannot experience floods but
still, they can experience typhoons and other disasters. The tribe needs to have
knowledge about first aid and basic life support because they are far from the hospital.
They need to educate themselves to become a lifesaver in a simple way they can.
As we aim for a sustainable program, for the following years of our plan engagement to
the Dumagat Tribes in Brgy. Puray, Rodriguez Rizal, we would also like to introduce to
them the livelihood and Entrepreneurship programs like Banana Peel Patty, Soap
Making, etc and to tap our partner Non-Government Partners as part of our vision to
involve them in our programs.
❑ Justification of the Project
We have known a person that lives in the Sitio Kabuhoan, Brgy.Puray, Rodriguez Rizal
and he discussed that this community is in need of a literacy program and disaster
preparedness and livelihood program. We want the youth in that sitio to become the arm
of their community. We cannot change the lives of the people in a community in a day
but we can change their minds so that they can improve their lives.
● Benefits Derived from the Project
The target beneficiary of this program will gain knowledge and skills. Students and
Faculty will bring new ideas to the Adopted community. This Program is not just a
temporary or only a short-term plan, the Office would like to have a sustainable Plan and
Program in this community until such time we can get a partner for the Community
Transformation and for the sustainable programs and projects in the Community. We
want to establish that is not for Muntinlupa City alone, but we want to extend our arm in
some places in the Philippines and strengthen our Community Extension Services
towards the fulfillment of our vision and mission and strategic objective as we strengthen
Research and Community Engagement and Collaboration.
