Business English for Learners

Business English refers to the type of English used in business settings such as meetings, presentations, and communications. It is widely used in the business community regardless of employees' native tongues. There are two main types of Business English courses - regular degree programs which are longer term full-time courses, and professional development programs which are shorter term part-time courses. While General English focuses on everyday skills, Business English concentrates on skills specific to the business domain like meetings, presentations, and negotiations. Mastering Business English improves language knowledge and common skills like pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and presentation skills. It also helps employees communicate effectively internationally and interact with overseas colleagues and customers.
