Create and export material models for LS-DYNA MAT24
Launch LS-DYNA CAE Modeler
Select the Global Data Center or your own database
Next, Click here to search for rate dependent material data
Locate rate-ready data
Select material type of interest
Select Material
Click Revise Search to restrict Search to your Personal Material Database
Select your material: Green- data is instantly available Orange- Data is Private. Click to request access to this data
Launch CAE Modeler
Select LS-DYNA unit system Then start conversion
Choose Model Options
Data can be fit to MAT24 with LCSS, LCSR or Cowper Symonds rate dependency options
CAE Modeler Auto-fit
CAE Modeler First pass model including rate dependency and initial plasticity
Change modulus, add data
Change modulus if needed to stiffen/soften material model. Add missing data such as Poissons ratio, density as needed. Click Update Model to apply your changes
Add post-yield data
Select points on quasistatic curve for post yield modeling Click Update to apply your changes
Model with post-yield behavior
Tuning of rate dependency
Tune stress ratios to improve rate dependency fit Click Update to apply your changes
Download .dyn file to desktop
Download Click Download to send the material model to your CAE
.dyn material file is ready
