INTRODUCTION:
Traditionally, the voting systems in most of the world require manual verification
of the voters. This job is tiring and can account for some human errors as well.
Therefore,it was decided that a prototype of the Fingerprint based voting
system should be implemented using Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi.
Finger Print Sensor Module is a module which captures finger’s print image and
then converts it into the equivalent template and saves them into its memory on
selected ID by Arduino.
A voterneeds to authenticate itself first for true voter by keeping finger on
Finger Print Sensor, if he/she is passed in this authentication then he/she can
vote.
Yellow LED indicates that fingerprint module is ready to take an image of the
finger and Green LED indicates that system is ready to take a vote or see
results.
LITERATURE SURVEY:
FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION:
It involves two main stages of operation.
• Enrolment
• Verification
Database:
The scanner senses the fingerprint and assessments it towards all the
prints in the database stored for the duration of enrolment and allows to
determine whether or not the individual is entitled to advantage get
admission to or no longer
The advantages are lesser cost, faster tabulation of results, improved
accessibility, greater accuracy, and lower risk of human and mechanical
errors.
Our project enables secured voting and reduces man power efficiently.
