1. Click Start.

Choosing the Program Color Theme
1. Select Edit> Preferences
The Preferences dialog
appears.
2. Select the Interface
category.
3. Choose then select the
color theme that you want.

4. Click the Apply
button.
The theme
changes are now
permanent.
5. Click the Close
button.
The Dreamweaver Workspace
• Menu bar-(tagged with opening and closing menu
bar tags) is a discrete menu or set of menus.
• Document tab- tabs appear at the top of the
document window showing the filenames of all
open documents.
• Related files interface- are documents associated
with the current file, such as CSS files or JavaScript
files.
• Common toolbar- is on the left side of the
application window and contains view-specific
buttons.
• Document toolbar- contains buttons that provide
options for different views of the Document
window (such as design view, live view, and code

• Live/Design views-displays a realistic representation of what
your document will look like in a browser, and lets you interact
with the document exactly as you would in a browser. You can
edit HTML elements directly in the Live view and instantly
preview your changes in the same view as well.
• Panels- help you monitor and modify your work.
• Workspace menu- is a specific layout of the panels within
Dreamweaver
• Code view- is a hand-coding environment for writing and
editing HTML, JavaScript, and any other kind of code.
• Property Inspector- (Window>Properties) lets you examine
and edit the most common properties for the currently
selected page element, such as text or an inserted object.
• Scrubber- a tool used to view an open page in graduated
widths. As you slowly drag the Scrubber from the right edge of
the page to the center of the page, you see the page width
decrease.
