with Billing details grouped by customer.
Type of cloud resources to be discovered: EC2 instances, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPCs, Containers

Assumptions and Out of Scope
Following are the list of Assumption and Out of scope:
o Implementation will be close to OOB process, functionalities and features
o AWS discovery and Integration requires support from AWS admin team
o Billing details from AWS will be retrieved using API provided by AWS admin team
o Customer details should be tagged in AWS resources for us to group the billing details.
o Service Mapping will be configured for 20 critical business services
o ServiceNow MID server (One or many based on region, account and accessibility) will be installed on AWS for
IP based discovery. More details about MID server:

o Reports and dashboards will be configured using OOB Reporting module as well as Performance Analytics.
Reports will be created only using the report types supported by ServiceNow.

Alibaba Cloud
o For this scope of Implementation, we have excluded Alibaba cloud as ServiceNow doesn’t support
discovering resources from this platform. ServiceNow may add Alibaba cloud in their future releases.
o If Alibaba cloud discovery is a must have feature for RWS, we can extend our support in building a
custom solution on top of ServiceNow cloud discovery. This can be achieved by integrating ServiceNow
with Alibaba cloud using API provided by Alibaba.
o Since this solution is yet to be proven, we would like to take this up as a free PoC once AWS cloud
discovery is completed. Please note that we would need full support from Alibaba admin team during
this PoC.
