• OUTPUT- refers to the results of the processed data

• EXTERNAL- refers to the visible parts of computer.
• INTERNAL PARTS- refers to the components inside
the system unit.
• DATA- is anything that you entered into the
computer in a form of sounds, graphics, numbers
and texts.

SYSTEM UNIT-
Also called as chassis. The
primary function of the
computer system unit is to
hold all the other
components together and
protect the sensitive
electronic parts from the
outside elements.
Monitor
The main function of a
computer monitor is to
display videos and graphical
information and documents.
Keyboard
is an input device used to
enter characters and functions
into the computer system by
pressing buttons, or keys. It is
the primary device used to
enter text. A keyboard
typically contains keys for
individual letters, numbers
and special characters, as well
as keys for specific functions.
MOUSE
A mouse is a pointing
device. It moves a
pointer on the
screen, allowing the
user to select icons,
buttons, menus, and
other ‘screen
objects’.

The purpose of
speakers is to
produce audio
output that can be
heard by the
listener.

MOTHERBOARD
One of the most essential parts
of a computer system. It holds
together many of the crucial
components of a computer,
including the central processing
unit (CPU), memory and
connectors for input and output
devices.
POWER SUPPLY
It supplies power to the
operation of the
system.
Heat sink
• Fans are used to cool the
air and push hot air away
from the computer and
move cool air across the
heat sink. Fans near the
CPU speed up as the
temperature rises, helping
cool the processor and
heat sink.
Hard Drive
• all the programs on your
computer are stored on the hard
drive. Your operating system (like
Windows) is also a program and is
also stored on the hard drive. Also
all your documents, pictures,
music files etc. are stored on your
hard drive. When you download
something it is stored on your
hard drive. Considered as the
largest computer storage device.
CPU- Central Processing Unit
• It performs the basic
arithmetical, logical, and
input/output operations of a
computer system. The CPU is
like the brains of the computer
- every instruction, no matter
how simple, has to go through
the CPU. Also known as the
processor.
RAM- Random Access Memory
RAM devices are used in computer
systems as the main memory. RAM
is considered volatile memory,
which means that the stored
information is lost when there is no
power. So, RAM is used by the
central processing unit (CPU) when
a computer is running to store
information that it needs to be
used very quickly, but it does not
store any information permanently.
