HOW TO TAKE DATABASE

BACKUP IN SAP HANA


 GO TO HANA SERVER
 FOLLOW THIS MENU PATH TO OPEN THE HDB
STUDIO
 Places->Computer->usr->sap-> hdbstudio
 Click on the hdb studio icon

 Enter the Secure storage Password (Indus@123)
 Click OK

 Maximize the catalog to view all the database list.

BACKUP
 Before taking the database backup make sure we
renamed the old backup files.
 Follow the below steps to rename the old backup
files
 Go to menu path Places-Computer-usr-sap-NDB-
DATABA HDB00-work

 Rename the already existing backup files

BACKUP
 Now go back to HDB Studio and select the
POGLIVEDB-> Right Click -> Export
 Select the Database and Click Next

 You can either Replace the already existing Back
up or you can create the new database backup
 To replace the Already existing DB select the
check Box of “Replace existing export in specified
directory”
DATABA  Click finish

 Once the database backup is done follow the
below procedure to copy your database backup
file from database server to application server.
(Linux to Window)
 Go to Database backup path to copy the Backup
DATABA files.

Places-Computer-usr-sap-NDB-HDB00-work
Now Go to the Share folder and paste the Backup
BACKUP file which you copied.
 Places – Computer – usr – sap – SAPBusinessOne –
B1_SHF – backup
 Back up Files (Export, Index)

Ensure the backup file is available in
the windows server.
 Go to windows server
 Open the Run app – Mention the IP Address
 \\10.100.1.38 – Enter
 Go to b1_shf –> backup –> export
