Some properties of Average:
If we have N number of observation as a1, a2, a3, a4 …………aN and their average
is A, then
1. If we add or subtract the same value (suppose x) from all the observations then
average will be directly added or subtracted by x.
2. If we multiply or divide each observation by a same value (Suppose x), then
average also multiplied or divided by the same value x.
If terms are in A.P or consecutives
1. If the terms are consecutives or are in A.P then average is always the
middle term of the sequence if the number of observations are odd.
2. If number of observations are even then average is the average of two
middle numbers.
