Introduction

• Monitoring temperature is crucial in systems like HVAC, greenhouses, etc.

• Automation improves accuracy and efficiency.
• Project simulates sensing & control using LM35 and Arduino.
Objective

• Design a temperature monitoring and control system

• Measure temperature using LM35
• Display temperature
• Control a fan or LED when threshold exceeded
Components Used

• Arduino UNO
• LM35 Temperature Sensor
• 16x2 LCD / Serial Monitor
• LED / Fan (output)
• Breadboard & Jumper Wires
• Resistors (optional)
Working Principle

• LM35 gives analog voltage based on temperature

• Arduino reads analog value from LM35
• Temperature formula: Temp(°C) = analogRead * (5.0/1024) * 100
• Fan/LED turns ON when temperature exceeds threshold
Circuit Diagram

• LM35 pin 1 → 5V
• LM35 pin 2 → A0 (Analog Input)
• LM35 pin 3 → GND
• Digital pin (8) → Fan/LED via transistor/relay
Arduino Code Snippet

int sensor = A0;

int fan = 8;
float temp;

void setup() {
pinMode(fan, OUTPUT);
Serial.begin(9600);
}

void loop() {
int value = analogRead(sensor);
temp = value * 0.488;
Serial.println(temp);
if(temp > 30) {
digitalWrite(fan, HIGH);
} else {
digitalWrite(fan, LOW);
