Kelly Osbourne pays touching tribute to dad Ozzy with bold three-word message
Kelly Osbourne shared a poignant three-word tribute to her father Ozzy just a few days after the Black Sabbath legend's funeral at his Buckinghamshire residence
Kelly Osbourne has offered a heartfelt homage to her dad, Ozzy, with a succinct yet powerful three-word salute just days after the singer's funeral.
The iconic Black Sabbath frontman passed away at age 76 on July 22 and was laid to rest in an intimate ceremony at his Buckinghamshire residence. After the touching procession in his birthplace of Birmingham, where legions of fans came to honor Ozzy, his daughter posted a photo of an enormous floral arrangement spelling out "OZZY F***ING OSBOURNE."
The striking homage was displayed by the edge of the Osbourne family lake, near Ozzy's final resting place.
Merely a two weeks before he passed, 40-year-old Kelly expressed optimism about her father's health during an interview.
Before his last Black Sabbath concert at Villa Park in early July, she remarked, "My dad is amazing! He's so excited for his final show on Saturday. There are all the nerves and all the excitement.
"He's breezing through it all, and the rehearsals have been fantastic. It's all focused on him. It's going to be an incredibly poignant moment."
The significance of her father's last show was heightened when Kelly's beau, Sid Wilson, chose that moment backstage to propose.
Sid's tender moment was humorously disrupted by Ozzy, who jokingly exclaimed, "F*** off! You're not marrying my daughter."
Accustomed to her father's playful sense of humor, Sid chuckled and then asked Kelly the question.
At Ozzy's funeral service on Wednesday, Kelly stood with her siblings Aimee, 41, and Jack, 39, alongside their mother Sharon, 72.
The metal legend received a proper send-off with a procession through Birmingham City Centre, during which Ozzy's loved ones placed flower arrangements at the memorial spot.
Ozzy's casket made its way along Broad Street and beyond the Black Sabbath Bridge, where Sharon and the kids witnessed the incredible volume of farewell notes gathered there.
A heartbroken Sharon needed support from her children as she became emotional, yet managed to raise a peace gesture to acknowledge the massive crowd of tens of thousands.
Ozzy was put to rest the following day at the family residence, which he and Sharon bought in 1993, during an "incredibly emotional" intimate ceremony for 110 of his closest friends and family.
The attendees included Ozzy's Black Sabbath colleagues, Metallica's James Hetfield, Yungblud, and Sir Elton John.
"As well as the 'Ozzy f**king Osbourne' wreath, which made people smile, there was another floral tribute which spelt out 'Ozzy' that was placed by the fountain on the lake," a source told The Sun.
