Steve Jobs' daughter and British Olympian tie the knot in $6.7m country wedding
Eve Jobs married British Olympic equestrian Harry Charles at an estimated $6.7 million wedding. The two had a star-studded list of guests, with Sir Elton John as performer
Eve Jobs said "I Do" over the weekend with her friends and family by her side.
The 27-year-old daughter of late Apple founder Steve Jobs married British Olympic equestrian Harry Charles, 26, in an extravagant countryside bash in rural Oxfordshire, England on Saturday, July 26. The two married at the St Michael & All Angels Church in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, England.
Elton John reportedly performed at the reception, while socialites and celebrities, including Princess Beatrice, Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders, and tech royalty Jennifer and Phoebe Gates, and former Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris were in attendance.
According to The Sunday Times, the estimated cost of the wedding was $6.7 million. Eve snuck into the Cotswold hamlet through a secret entrance to avoid being seen by outsiders. Harry was also not spotted.
However, a few snaps were taken of guests arriving, including two bridesmaids who were dressed in floor-length red silk gowns.
According to the publication, 107 rooms were booked by guests, while others stayed at Soho Farmhouse.
Eve and Harry made their public debut as a couple at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where he competed.
Just last month, the Apple founders daughter celebrated her bachelorette weekend in Capri and was accompanied by Olympian pal Eileen Gu, her fiancé’s sister Scarlett, and Harry's mother Tara.
Eve grew up in Palo Alto, California and even though she is the daughter of one of the most famous names in tech history, Eve will not be inheriting her father’s billions.
Speaking to The New York Times after her husband’s death, Laurene Powell Jobs said, “It’s not right for individuals to accumulate a massive amount of wealth that’s equivalent to millions and millions of other people combined. There’s nothing fair about that.”
She continued, "I inherited my wealth from my husband, who didn’t care about the accumulation of wealth. I am doing this in honor of his work, and I’ve dedicated my life to doing the very best I can to distribute it effectively, in ways that lift up individuals and communities in a sustainable way.
"I’m not interested in legacy wealth buildings, and my children know that. Steve wasn’t interested in that. If I live long enough, it ends with me."
Eve has made a name for herself. She is a model who has walked the runway for big fashion brands like Coperni, fronted a Louis Vuitton campaign, and landed a Vogue Japan cover.
