Inside Adele's weight loss journey: From Sirtfood Diet to exercise regimen
Adele embarked on a transformative weight loss journey after giving birth to her son in 2012. Ten years on and the singer has shed an incredible 98 pounds
Adele has been on an incredible transformational journey, shedding a staggering 98 pounds within two years.
This impressive weight loss journey has reshaped not just her appearance but her entire mental outlook. Her friend divulged that "there's a lot to do with her weight loss that has really changed her life, but it's so much more than that."
Adele began overhauling her eating habits back in 2012, driven by a personal commitment to improve her health for her own benefit. She cut off the 10 cups of sugary tea she used to drink daily and said goodbye to alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, plus any "spicy, citrusy, and tangy" food to protect her golden voice.

In 2011, while chatting with Australia's 60 Minutes, Adele opened up about her vocal hemorrhage, confessing, "It's f-----g boring, but I don't think you take your voice seriously until you've had an accident. I'm frightened all the time I'm going to damage my voice."
To gear up for her 2016 tour, Adele concentrated on increasing her stamina which naturally resulted in more weight loss. By 2017, she was reported to have shed more than 98 pounds, much of which was credited to The Sirtfood Diet, as per Surrey Live reports, reports Lancs Live.
The Sirtfood Diet champions the intake of plant-based items like kale, buckwheat, green tea, and turmericfoods known as sirtuin activators. These are considered helpful in modulating the way the body processes fats and sugars and managing hunger, vital elements in this popular diet plan.
These foods include the likes of green tea, cocoa powder, red wine, and cheese. "The Sirtfood Diet is all about losing weight and feeling fantastic through eating great-tasting food," a source spilled to the Daily Mail. "It's based on extensive research into the power of key plant foods, which when added to our diet turn on fat burning and improve wellbeing."
In her quest for wellness, the songstress revamped her fitness regimen, enlisting LA-based "body wizard" pilates guru Camila Goodis, who came highly recommended by Robbie Williams' other half, Ayda Field. Goodis, who has also sculpted the physique of Piers Morgan's partner Celia Walden, praised Adele's grounded personality but didn't shy away from mentioning her initial hesitance towards exercise.
Camila dished to The Sun, "I trained Ayda for a long time and it happens that they are good friends so I did Adele when she was there in Robbie's house. I don't believe she liked exercise much but she has changed her lifestyle and I believe that 90 per cent was dieting."
Even with her commitment to health, Adele hasn't shied away from expressing her distaste for workout routines, confessing to Rolling Stone in 2016, "I mainly moan. I'm not, like, skipping to the f-----g gym. I don't enjoy it. I do like doing weights. I don't like looking in the mirror. Blood vessels burst on my face really easily, so I'm so conscious when I'm lifting weights not to let them burst in my face. And if I don't tour, you'll catch me back down at the Chinese!"
