Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown isn't letting anyone misidentify her man!
The 21-year-old actress snapped at a photographer when they incorrectly called her husband her “boyfriend” at the Los Angeles premiere of her new Netflix movie The Electric State, in which she stars alongside huge stars like Chris Pratt. Millie tied the knot with Jake Bongiovi, the 22-year-old son of Jon Bon Jovi and Dorothea Hurley, in a grand ceremony in the Hamptons in May 2024. They married a year after Jake popped the question and only their closest friends and family attended the intimate event.
Millie, who will return in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things in November, was promoting her new film with the streaming service when the awkward moment occurred.
She attended the film’s South Coast premiere on Monday (24 February), posing up a storm with her husband as paparazzi snapped away.
At one point, two unseen photographers could be heard shouting for Millie to “get your boyfriend” in the snaps, to which an unimpressed Millie bluntly corrected, “He’s not my boyfriend.”
The photographers apologized and the actress laughed off the mistake, telling them, “It’s OK.” Jake also seemed to see the funny side of the photographer's blunder and chuckled at her outburst.
The married pair were certainly dressed for the occasion, with the Enola Holmes star donning a stunning gold-embellished floor-length gown with a sweetheart neckline.
She completed her ensemble with a gold choker and had her bleach-blonde locks styled into an elegant updo. Smiling by her side, Jake looked dapper in a tuxedo which was complete with a black bowtie.
Millie announced her engagement to Jake with a black and white photo shared with her millions of followers on Instagram in April 2023. She captioned the post with lyrics from Taylor Swift’s Lover. “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ‘em all,” she penned.
Two months later, the couple had a private engagement party, where they posed for pictures in front of heart-shaped white balloons and a light-up sign that read, “Mr & Mrs Bongiovi.”
The pair's engagement came almost two years after they confirmed their relationship when they shared a selfie in June 2021.
