Taylor Swift showed her true colors when the cameras were switched off

Taylor Swift appeared on Capital Radio this morning to promote her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, and was given gifts by radio hosts Jordan North and Sian Welby

Taylor Swift offered fans a glimpse into her personal side during her appearance on the UK's Capital Radio station this morning, where she was promoting her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

As tracks from her 12th studio album hit airwaves for the first time, the superstar received thoughtful gifts from radio hosts Jordan North and Sian Welby - who absolutely nailed their present selections. The duo could barely contain their enthusiasm about having Taylor on the show, with Sian gushing: "We need to say congratulations on the engagement - we haven't seen you since that happened. And it would be very rude of us, since you're the queen of gifts, for us not to give you a gift."

Presenting Taylor with an elegant gift bag that perfectly complemented her orange sweater and featured the initials T S along with the number 12 to commemorate her 12th studio album, Taylor responded: "Oh, that's so sweet of you. It's perfect." It comes as Travis Kelce looked stone-faced as he marked a major milestone without Taylor.

As Taylor unwrapped the present, she revealed to listeners a mint-green jewelry box containing a cat figurine crafted from Travis' birthstone, opal. Referencing Taylor's song Opalite, Sian explained: "It's an Opalite cat."

Getting visibly emotional, Taylor responded: "It's the perfect present. It's so cute. This is perfect. I'll always remember this from getting to come over and talk to you guys and celebrate the album release. Every time I look at this. I'm going to put it in a very prominent place."

Jordan's gift came next - a sourdough loaf that immediately caught Taylor's attention. Her face brightened as she inquired, 'Did you bake?', prompting Jordan to joke: "Yeah sure."

Explaining his choice of gift, Jordan told listeners: "I love the fact that you make sourdough for your friends for special occasions, and usually you give them cinnamon and raisins. Now I've got a friend of mine who makes sourdough to put in a little surprise for you."

Reading the stickers placed on the packaging - clever bread-themed wordplay based on her songs - Taylor gasped as she unwrapped it: "Oh my God. Eliza-bake Taylor is really good. Actually Doughmantic. Fantastic! Oh my God, The Fate of Doughphelia is so good. That is so sweet."

Jordan then disclosed the loaf featured a distinctly British element: "We made a Gregg's sausage roll flavour."

Taylor appeared delighted as she started smelling the bread and declared: "Oh my God, this is fantastic. Look at this! This is great. This is going to be my lunch.

"Now we're all big Swifties," Jordan went on, "But you went up in my estimation at the Eras tour when you organized a Greggs van to be backstage for all your crew and workers, because obviously, we love Greggs in the UK, so we've put a little surprise in the bake there."

Following the interview, Sian squealed to listeners: "I don't know how to digest what just happened. I've got no memory - but what I will say was there some epic moments."

Addressing a crew member in the studio, she inquired: "Tell us what her team said just then."

When asked about what she planned to do with the gifts that Sian and Jordan had just presented her, they were informed that Taylor had expressed a desire to keep them and her team inquired if they could take them along.

"She's keeping the gifts!" Sian exclaimed, adding: "Can we just say this was a team effort. We wanted to do it for you guys, the fans, because we know that she doesn't do a lot of interviews. We had very limited time with her as well."

Jordan chimed in: "We've just been told we were given an extra three or four minutes," while Sian declared: "This is honestly a highlight of my life."

It comes after Travis Kelce issued a blunt 11-word reason for refusing to sign a football for a young Chiefs fan.
