The Summer I Turned Pretty fans fume 'we deserved better' after 'wild' finale
The Summer I Turned Pretty has come to an end and fans are not happy with how the series finale played out.

The Summer I Turned Pretty has finally reached its conclusion and fans are fuming about the series finale.
The Prime Video show is adapted from Jenny Han's cherished YA novels, which chronicle an intense love triangle between Belly Conklin (played by Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno).
During the season three finale, Belly ultimately accepts her true feelings for Conrad, declaring: "I still love him. I have brown hair and brown eyes and I will always love Conrad Fisher."
At the same time, Jeremiah begins a new romance with his colleague Denise (portrayed by Isabella Briggs), reports the Manchester Evening News.
Although countless supporters have been cheering for Belly and Conrad's Parisian reunion they weren't pleased with how the storyline played out.
Audiences have complained that the pair don't reconnect until the final minutes of the episode.
The remainder of the finale showcases Jeremiah, Taylor (Rain Spencer) and Steven's (Sean Kaufman) individual storylines.
Although the tension kept viewers on the edge of their seats, it also frustrated them that they didn't witness Belly and Conrad 'happy together'.
Heading to Reddit, one fan expressed their opinion: "It was good, but a little disappointing we didn't see more of them happy together.
"I hated her turning on him the morning after. In the books she's still so in love with him always, and I feel like they didn't show that as much as they could have."
In an unexpected twist, Belly sleeps with Conrad and he confesses his love for her, only to be rejected and sent away in the early hours.
Conrad is left heartbroken as he rushes to catch the last train to Brussels.
Despite Belly eventually chasing after him and declaring her feelings, fans felt it was out of character for her to initially reject Conrad.
One Redditor wrote: "They wasted so much time.. also so disappointed in how much they changed the essence of her character.. she's always loved him. And now she turns on him after the night together.. wild.
The same fan added: "Would have loved to have seen them be married at the end or even wearing Suzannah's ring in that end scene."
In the final scene, Conrad and Belly return to Cousins together, but without any signs of marriage or engagement.
Fans had speculated that the series would conclude with a grand wedding, so the ending has left them feeling let down.
Another viewer vented online: "What the h*** was that? I thought they were going to at least arrive at the house engaged or something?!!!!"
Another person commented: "We deserved better than this and most importantly the story itself deserved better than this!"
