Boots season has arrived: Zappos slashes Dr. Martens platforms to under $150
These cold-weather staples just got a price drop ahead of peak boot season
Finding comfortable, stylish, and durable boots to last you from crisp October nights to February snow showers is vital, and one brand that shoppers love is Dr. Martens.
Though Dr. Martens are rarely on sale, Zappos is offering an impressive discount on the vegan Sinclair style, a “comfortable” and “beautiful” pair of black platform boots. They’re designed with lace-up eyelets (and a zipper that makes it easy to slide on), an air-cushioned and stacked rubber outsole, and classic, contrasting Z-welt stitching for extra durability and flexible wear.
Usually designed with Nappa leather, these Sinclairs provide an eco-conscious option for shoppers at the newly marked down price of $147 (reg. $210)—a 30% discount off the retail price. You can check out more details and the discount on these boots here.
Fortunately, the vegan Sinclairs aren’t the only Dr. Martens boots that have had their price dropped on Zappos. The Molly Quad Retro is also on sale, coming in at $179.97, a 14% discount off the normally $210 price tag.
This style is similar to the vegan Sinclair’s platform design, stacked cushioning, and stitching, though the Molly boots are constructed with smooth, full-grain Buttero leather. They’re also designed to be worn with the included standard laces or satin ribbon laces for extra fashionable flair.
Shoppers looking for a more minimalist boot might want to check out Dr. Martens’ Jetta Sendal leather boot. It’s designed in the style of a Chelsea boot, but with the brand’s popular platform sole and a zipper closure at the vamp to secure the boot on your foot.
Made with full-grained Sendal leather, a slimmer foot bed with a tapered shape, and tread heels with PVC outsoles, the Jetta boots are tailor-made to withstand daily wear and tear, all while providing impressive comfort.
Dr. Martens’ boots are a big hit among shoppers, and one reviewer wrote of the vegan Sinclairs, “Gorgeous, most comfortable boots!” Another five-star rating from another buyer raved, “Super cute chunkier style. My first pair of Dr. Martens did not disappoint.”
On the flip side, Dr. Martens shoes are notorious for their tricky sizing and how they sometimes require a ‘breaking in’ period (which usually requires the addition of wearing thick socks for extra foot padding).
Some shoppers reported that they didn’t experience that, but one reviewer commented that like other shoes from the brand, “... You have to break in first, but other [than] that, they are really comfortable.”
