JJ Watt, Derek Carr and others says what fans think about Shohei Ohtani's NLCS domination

The Los Angeles Dodgers have made it back to the World Series with Shohei Ohtani putting together one of, if not, the greatest performance in Major League Baseball history on Friday evening

Athletes and sports personalities around the world could not believe what they witnessed from Shohei Ohtani after his Game Four performance against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Ohtani hit three huge home runs while striking out 10 Brewers hitters in a sensation all-around performance from the Los Angeles Dodgers superstar. In Major League Baseball history, only 12 hitters had ever hit three homers in a postseason game, while just 26 pitchers had ever recorded 10+ strikeouts, two or less hits and no runs in a postseason start. Yet Ohtani achieved both in one single game.

No player has ever had three home-runs and 10 strikeouts in a game, with Ohtani continuing to establish his legacy as the greatest to ever do it while hoping to lead the team to another World Series.

No team has ever gone back-to-back with World Series wins since the New York Yankees three-peat run from 1998 to 2000.

And while that had been a talking point, everyone was shocked to see Ohtani's performance in what is being described as one of the greatest ever solo showings.

JJ Watt tweeted, "Gotta be one of the greatest athletic performances in history. Never seen anything like Shohei."

Former Las Vegas Raiders and New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr commented, "Not to overhype it… but this might be the greatest baseball game anyone’s ever played."

Pro Basketball Hall of Famer Magic Johnson commented, "We’ve seen a baseball player hit three HRs in a Playoff game and we’ve seen a pitcher throw a two hitter and 10 strikeouts in a Playoff game - but we’ve never seen one player do both like Shohei Ohtani did tonight!"

While Skip Bayless wrote, "Shohei, pitching a shutout, just hit one one of the longest home runs ever at Dodger Stadium - his second of the game after his first-inning leadoff bomb. GREATEST BASEBALL PLAYER EVER."

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, "That was probably the greatest post-season performance of all time.

"There's a reason why he's the greatest player on the planet. It's kind of whatever you don't expect, expect him to do it. This is just a performance that I've just never seen. No-one's ever seen something like this. I'm still in awe right now of Shohei."

Meanwhile, his teammate in fellow superstar Mookie Betts could not believe what he saw from Ohtani.

Betts said, "I've said it multiple times, we're like the Bulls and he's Michael Jordan. Whenever he goes, we're all going to go and you see it today. I'm just happy he's on our team."

"[It feels] amazing, amazing. Obviously, we've still another series to play, so we can't get too far ahead of ourselves, but it's special. To go back-to-back, it's special just to have this trip at least.

"In spring training, we knew we were capable of accomplishing the goal of winning another World Series, how we got there, you never know but we knew we were going to do it and now we're one step away."
