When does Fortnitemares 2025 start?

The leaks suggest Fortnitemares will be split into two phases this year, with the first actually dropping today Oct. 2. This is only the appetizer, as the real Halloween event will kick off on Oct. 9.

Will there be collaborations for Fortnitemares 2025?

Players can expect new skins inspired by all-time horror classics. Last year, we got Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Billy the Puppet from Saw.

This year, Epic is upping the ante. Insiders revealed that iconic slasher characters like Ghostface from Scream and Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th. Fortnitemares is also poised to include some more obscure serial killers like Art the Clown from Terrifier and other newbie killers like the Grabber from Black Phone.

Players are truly getting spoiled this year.

If you don't feel like dressing up as a sadistic killer, why not opt for the kids who stop sadistic killers? Leakers revealed there will be Scooby Doo-inspired skins with one for each member of the mystery gang. Plus, there will also be a Mystery Machine van skin. Imagine running duos, triples or quads with a band of mystery-solving teens riding around in a green van.

No, there is no option to run teams of five, so one character will always be missing.

We're not done yet. There will be some video game inception here as Epic is throwing in some video game-inspired skins related to horror games, including the unsettling co-op extraction game R.E.P.O and the indie survival horror game Poppy Playtime. Fortnitemares always delivers much more than skins, so there should be some events, weapons and other loot that comes with all these collaborations.

Insiders allege that each old-school horror icon will bring an item that can be found on the map. For example, Jason Voorhees will lose his medallion somewhere on the island. The forgetful Ghostface will also misplace his bloody knife after jumping from the bus.
