The Woman in Cabin 10 ending explained: Who is the woman?

The Woman in Cabin 10 is available to stream on Netflix and Lo Blacklock finally discovered the true identity of the mystery woman

WARNING: THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS.

The Woman in Cabin 10 is on Netflix and the film stars Keira Knightley as Laura "Lo" Blacklock, a journalist covering the maiden voyage of a luxury cruise ship.

Not long into her stay, she becomes convinced she has witnessed a passenger being hurled from the balcony in cabin 10, but she's told nobody was occupying that particular cabin.

The final episode saw Lo attempting to flee from Richard Bullmer (Guy Pearce) and his crew members, several of whom were complicit in his sinister scheme.

After Lo eventually tracked down the enigmatic woman, she assumed it was Anne (Gitte Witt), Richard's terminally ill spouse, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Yet, after spotting some minor differences in the woman's demeanour, Lo discovered it wasn't Anne at all.

Following her isolation from the other passengers and crew, the woman in cabin 10 revealed she was actually named Carrie.

Richard had employed facial recognition technology to locate her due to her striking similarity to his wife.

He subsequently recruited her to impersonate Anne and execute a fresh will, ensuring all her wealth and possessions would transfer to him.

Despite her fear, Carrie agreed to the arrangement to earn funds for her daughter's care.

It emerged that Anne had actually been murdered by her spouse on the evening Lo overheard the disturbance from the neighbouring cabin.

Upon discovering she intended to donate all their wealth following her demise, he became furious. Carrie was oblivious to the extent of Anne's suffering, believing she would merely impersonate Anne to sign some documents and then be released.

However, Lo was right in warning her that Richard wouldn't let her leave the yacht alive, given her knowledge of his secrets.

Eventually, Lo succeeded in convincing some of Richard's staff and mates of his deceitful and murderous nature, but he responded by taking Carrie hostage, threatening to murder her if anyone alerted the police.

Fortunately, Lo was able to keep Carrie safe long enough for Nilssen (Amanda Collin) to shoot Richard, resulting in his death.

Finally, Carrie was free to reunite with her daughter, maintaining her long-distance friendship with Lo.
